Shifting with sequential:
Your shift tune strategy works pretty well on 1-2-3 gears.
4-5 gears has not enough ignition cut time and cut %.
If you are using closed loop gear shift control, increase ignition cut time on 4th gear and 5th gear. by 5-10% more then 3rd gear.
Increase ignition cut value by 10% on that gears.
Also increase overall gear leaver force value by 10-15%, it is possible that now You have slight slack in the gearbox, that's why You cant pull the gear out.
If you are using open loop gear shift control increase 10% cut time, 10% ignition cut and 15% gear leaver force.
Open loop uses same settings for all gears.
If You still miss the gears like this, You will damage the dogs.

You realise Kyle is still shifting with the clutch right? Ignition cut is irrelevant unless doing clutch less shifts. Even still, ignition cut isn't mandatory, can shift without clutch by letting of the throttle for that split second to take the load off. It's due to the inertia of 4/5th gear there's issues. That's the nature of a dog box, you gotta be like clockwork when not using strain gauge.
Also if i recall the dogs aren't even undercut, that causes issues with gears jumping out or to not engage fully, holding in gear whilst of power can allow full in engagement.

I can’t tell if you’re giving advice or nitpicking. To me he doesn’t seem too unhappy. More like focused and determined to improve on himself and his cars, etcetera. Whereas Brent for example seems to have more of a helpful and selfless mindset.
If you’re going to judge someone based on their attitude, you may want to be aware of the psychology behind it. Not saying I understand it, but I try to empathize. Personally I feel that Kyle could show a little more gratitude for being supported by, and being part of such an awesome team, but you never know what happens off camera.
So I agree somewhat, but ya came off like a prick and he can perceive that information in any way. Perhaps in the future try something along the lines of “Kyle, you seem unexcited when your friends do well.” Maybe add a “Why is that?” Rather than telling him to do more or less anything, because he is himself and you are not.
I’m not replying to anyone in direct because this is for all the people that like to act more childish than the “kid” (who’s *probably more successful than them*)
