- Some displaced Palestinians are venturing out of camps to visit what's left of their homes after the Israeli troop withdrawal.
Many areas have been razed to the ground during bombing.
Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary visited some of the streets and homes destroyed by Israel's military in Khan Younis.

Sometimes I just cant hold back the tears when I stop to think of the thousands of ordinary Palestinian people and their loved ones who have been massacred before the eyes of the "civilized" world. I am deeply ashamed at the West for not sending in immediately a UN peacekeeping force as they have done elsewhere in the past.

That's an overstatement. Gaza has 2.3 million inhabitants of which about 40 k are dead, ergo many homeowners are still alive. And seeing as how they showed the whole world how crazy they are, I wouldn't be surprised if in the long wrong, they lose it all and that would be some sweet justice.

In all their reports about starvation we see in the background healthy, fit, sometimes fat adults and children full of energy going about daily things.

Hamas fighters use civilian buildings as a defense line and then those buildings get blown up by the advancing army. This is standard military doctrine for any country, any army, and is not an unreasonable way to conduct a war.
