Video idea! This is a bit niche but we of the narrow footed…oh, to find a kindred sole who also has narrow feet. I am absolutely sick of ordering/trying on shoes that are just too wide. Even a short! ❤️
Wool, cashmere, heavy cotton, etc. are breathable, which really helps regulate body temperature, even in warmer weather. During my corporate career, we wore wool gabardine skirt suits (lined with rayon, not polyester) year-round and were perfectly comfortable. It’s so hard to find loungewear, etc., without polyester, so thanks for introducing the brand Pangaia to us. I don’t mind spending more for premium natural-fiber fabrics, it’s the most important consideration to me - no plastic clothes! Or shoes, for that matter.

Oh those lovely cardigans look so soft, comfortable and easy to wear! And New Balance trainers, I Iove them so much! I have 5 different pairs that I bought new from preloved sites at a fraction of their cost and I wear them for everything, kung fu, qigong, doggie walks, errands, going out...so supremely comfortable I struggle to wear anything else! Yours are such a lovely colour for spring 💚
I love a cardigan and those two are beautiful. I particularly like v-necks with the pockets. As you said, they’re so useful all year round.
Lovely new stuff! I have to say I completely disagree on the narrow Birkenstocks. I bought a pair of arizonas maybe 5 years ago and they hurt my feet so much. When the Bostons became popular I purchased the narrow as I tried the normal ones on in the shop and I couldn’t keep them on my feet. I’ve since then tried the narrow arizonas and find them so much more comfortable so perhaps I have got extremely narrow feet but I’m very thankful they did it and they still look chunky on me!

Birki fan here. Their narrow fit is shown by the blocked in footbed symbol. It is not a narrow fit at all It is actually a regular /standard fit it is just narrow compared to their wide fit which is shown by the footbed outline. Hope that helps.
Ah interesting to know that. I always assumed they’d be really narrow and I prefer a chunky fit 🙊
I have wider feet, but when they added the second, wider, size, they were too wide for me, the footbed bumps and contours hit in the wrong place and hurt. I finally contacted them and learned that the narrow fit is the original that I loved for four decades.

Hi I’m new to your vids and thoroughly enjoying them. I recently bought a pair of Arizona’s and to my surprise the narrow fit better. But it’s not a true narrow, I’d say a more standard fit. I did however have to size up. They are perfect now and won’t be flopping

I actually frequently do that with my shoes - more feminine shoe paired with less feminine clothes. For me, the reason is I don’t like how masculine shoes look on my big feet!!! I don’t like lug soles or super masculine loafers, and I don’t like dad sandals on me either. (On others I don’t mind, ppl should wear what they like, I’m only talking about my personal style here.)

Some lovely new pieces you’ve got. Gorgeous cardigan’s and the Jigsaw top is really pretty. I have a couple pairs of 574’s and they are like walking on air, so comfy 👌🏻Green is definitely having a moment. I bought the faded khaki Birkenstock’s a couple of years ago after seeing them on you and have had so much wear from them. Love the 90’s fashion flashback, I remember having a pair of combat trousers in a shiny kind of petrol colour material that looked like Nicole Appletons lol. They rustled so much you could hear me a mile off 🤣 Those and a pair of green Topshop parachute style trousers with straps and buckles hanging off like you mentioned were well worn items. Good times 😆
The All Saints era was the best 🙌🏼 I also had the trousers that rustled 🤣 Man I miss the 90’s!

Loved this episode! You introduced some basic items that every closet needs. I actually liked the 2 sweaters better than Khaite. I was tired of the sleeve. Now…. The Mary Jane. It is available in a 42 but I am so unsure if that’s a true US 12. I am a size 11 but I walk so much that 12 has become my sweet size. No more compromising on my feet😂 Thanks again
Never ever compromise on your feet 🙌🏼 A lesson I learnt the hard way in my early 20’s. It might be worth looking or contacting them to see if they have the measurements of the size so you can compare to the measurements of your feet to check it would be right for you x

Can I ask what size shoes you take (EU) & do you need to go larger for New Balance ?
I’m a half size and I size up to the nearest whole size so I take an EU42 which isn’t my usual size, their size charts are just different to other brands.

574 are the only sneakers I can wear out of ALL brands. There is another NB style with velcros that suits my feet but I can’t find anything else with tall and wide toe box and softer lower heel.

Hi Emma how do you feel that Arket shut down in Bluewater? Do you think it’s worth going there for clothes shopping anymore? I’m very underwhelmed by it these days …
DEVASTATED 🙊 I was gutted when I heard it was closing and I worked in Bluewater for a few years so I know how annoying the mall management are when it comes to unit rates etc so it’s quite frustrating that Arket were essentially forced to leave and now there are so many big empty units. I definitely don’t go as much now Arket has gone, I used to love just sitting in their cafe even if I wasn’t shopping 🙁 I go from time to time and I like that Uniqlo is still there and H&M home but other than those 2 stores and Apple I don’t really go in anywhere else 🙈
I believe your arizonas are the narrow fit according to footprint picture on the sole, not sure though.

Agree, I also think these are Narrow Width because they have a "solid footprint" rather then an "outlined footprint", at least as far as I could see on the video. I've also read that they consider narrow option to be more of Standard fit for 80% of women.

Do you mean our desk or the shelving unit? The desk was from Zara home but back in 2021 so that’s no longer available and the shelving unit is Tylko. You can design your own layout of the unit with the measurements you want and you can add drawers or open shelves or doors 🙌🏼

The majority of my underwear is Organic Basics. I love their Tencel range but they also have cotton too. The only thing is that I’m only an A cup so support is not really something I need to be concerned about 😆 So I’m afraid I wouldn’t have any advise to give around the topic of support x

I think feminin items look very good on you. Why shouldn`t you wear playful, cute, feminin things as a woman? Isn`that one of the coolest things about being a woman? I personally really enjoy the feminin energy :-)
Love the cardigan, which is half of the price of the Khaite cardigan, and the sheer black top, which offers an interesting look under blazers. I am also looking for a simple leather belt myself. Unfortunately most of Emma’s great finds are sold out! 🥹
