  • Work and pensions secretary Mel Stride discusses the infected blood scandal, the International Criminal Court (ICC) seeking an arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu and the government's aim to get people back into work.
On the ICC, Mr Stride says the situation is "deeply unhelpful" and what we should be focusing on is "getting aid into Gaza" and "pressing for a humanitarian ceasefire".

If the US and UK had acted earlier to prevent the barbarism of the Israeli military then this wouldn't have happened.

‘ICC situation is deeply unhelpful’ interesting comment….Rishi Sunak should be worried that the next arrest warrant’s will be for him, due to his complicity in helping to enable the war crimes being committed by Israel.

    Completely nonsensical position from government.
    1. Gov spokesperson: ICC warrant request is unhelpful we should be focused on getting aid into Gaza
    2. But Netanyahu is accused of purposefully blocking aid into Gaza, hence the warrant request

The124 members of the ICC vote to admit Palestine in 2015. The UK doesn’t have a veto but this creep is saying the UK doesn’t recognize the majority decision. Appalling disrespect for international law.

The ICJ prosecutes states and there's no stare called hamas. The ICC prosecutes individuals. Also SA doesn't think H are committing jenny side. They think Israel is committing jenny side so even if they could take them to court it wouldn't make sense for them to do so as H aren't committing jenny side
