I had the opportunity to drink a glass of Pappy 23 at my uncle's house on Christmas eve a few years ago. He waited until everyone else left and it was only him, my dad and me. They poured me a glass with 1 large ice cube inside. They taught me the "Kentucky chew". To smell it first then take a drink and hold it on your tongue. It was the best whiskey I've ever had! My dad also had a few bottles of Old Rip Van Winkle 12 year at his house we drank a few times.

I really enjoy their videos! So, I mean this with no disrespect at all, but I am curious if others have the same sentiments as I have, or if I am the only person discerns such: whenever I see Sean, I constantly view him as someone who looks like they've been painfully shy/awkward in their skin, but are trying hard to be more vocal and comfortable talking to the public. I don't know why it seems that way, but he just seems like he's trying hard to fit in. Unsure what I'm keying on -- if it's his mannerisms or just high-cheek bones? I'm trying to wrap my head around why it seems odd to see someone act the way he does.

Well thanks for the deep dive but really anyone knows I'm pretty good with who I am. Talking to a camera isn't public speaking, I'm still bad at that. Never been less goofy than I am on camera.

@@BourbonJunkies Thanks for the reply, and again, I meant no disrespect. More than anything, I'm trying to understand what subconscious, pre-conceived elements exist within me, and why things seem off in my own mental model. p.s. a friend of mine, 2,000 miles away Georgia found a bottle of Antique 107, so I'll finally get to try 1 of these 5 that you showcased. Flying there this month and will pick it up.

neither are worth it, especially now that Weller which cost 40bux and were pretty available 4 years ago are still pretty available... if you add an extra zero to the price. One liquor store in my area is selling it for the low low price of 399 and the Full Proof (blue label) for 599...I don't even blame the store. I blame the people who would shell out the money. I guess if you wanna refill your empty Papi bottle hehe.

"Red Fruit" has gotta be right up there with "Stone Fruit" as one of the most useless tasting notes. Apples, cherries, raspberries, grapes, strawberries, and cranberries are all red fruits and none of them smell similar so saying something smells/tastes like "red fruit" means absolutely nothing. If it smells like raspberries or tastes like strawberries, just say that!
