    From the frequency of the wow&flutter i would suspect the pinchroller too.
    I usually take out the flywheel when i have it open like you had, to lubricate the axel.
    The motors also probably could do with an overhaul. Open, clean and relubrication.

      Yes, I will do that soon. I also ordered some new pinch rollers to replace the old one.

    Hi Kristof. This is quite a nice little retro piece. I wonder of the wow might be caused by the cassette itself. Is it the same on different cassettes? The spools can jam if they're wound too tight. I always used to give them a bit of a twist before putting them in, or run them through on fast forward & rewind.

      I don't think the cassette is the issue here because my brand new test tapes are showing the same wow & flutter.
