I've been on the Internet longer than most, and I've learned that when you discuss anime or videogames you're almost always going to end up interacting with either children or adults with the emotional reactions of children, who need the thing they don't like to be the devil. There's obviously a lot of reasonable adults too, but the obnoxious people tend to drown them out. They're just not worth listening to.

I like HSR and genshin story telling. But they are lore heavy and require me to follow a lot. I literally cannot fit that type of info in my brain. ZZZ is a nice change of pace because so far ALL the stories have been pretty modern and simple but still pack a punch imo. I work and don’t want to come home to have to remember lots of details of a story that has consistent breaks. I have to watch streamers gameplay because they usually explain stuff or chat can explain stuff to me. The game has been enjoyable and has a low floor/entry point that allows you to button mash. But if you really want to take it seriously the ceiling is high and lets you try different tech. There’s puzzles in the TV section and there’s even end game content. This game offers so much and is so extremely stylized that although it reminds me of other games, it has its own unique flavor. The characters have amazing VA’s in English. The gacha system feels fair. Farming doesn’t feel like a chore. The characters they give for free are great beginning teams to start. I also like that the game slowly introduces new things to me so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I mean some of the stuff I couldn’t even do until level 36! The game seems so well thought out. So to have someone saying “mid” after probably only playing to the first part of chapter 2 is crazy to me. I think in order to give the game a real shot you have to play to ATLEAST the end of chapter 2 right before the interlude. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Thanks for the vid nut boy. ❤

Meanwhile Im enjoying the hell out of the game. Its nice to have a brawler/beat em up that you can hop into and play for a few hours and hop out of, and it's story is pretty fun so far. My only real complaint outside of some of the designs of the characters, is the music not hitting me as much as in the previous titles, both complaints being pretty subjective anyways. Actually, if I had any complaint is that Mihoyo is stuck doing gacha games, when they clearly have so much potential to make a proper knock out adventure action rpg game without all the crappy live service/gacha junk.

I appreciate that you let your voice be heard. The hate for ZZZ is crazy overblown. I really don't care about people's opinions about this game. Played Genshin, Honkai Star Rail and WuWa since they came out. Some of my favourite video game franchises are Persona, Bayonetta and Fire Emblem, and this game really blends it all for me. I may already have 30h-ish hours, I'm Inter-knot level 27 and I can really feel where the game wants to lead me on. The combats are starting to be tougher (mostly in Shiyu Defense and Hollow Zero) and I really like how the story focuses more on the "slice of life" side of the siblings' life (taking care of the videoclub, earning money from commissions, having a real day/night cycle that impacts what's happening in Sixth Street). I love the characters' designs (which don't need to be that complex as some people like to say, since this game is more grounded looking) and the combats feel veryyy smooth imo. The TV system reminds me of how Fire Emblem uses his grid system to show what is happening in the battlefield and it adds a sense of dynamism with how the story can be put in picture (that time where we get to a 4-squared monster appearing in front of us, Genshin and Honkai could never make it visually speaking). Reminder that even though it's a gacha, this game is FREE. You can enjoy the story and even clear the most difficult content without spending any money. People are complaining when they didn't even finished the game's prologue or unlocked the endgame content (I have yet to unlock the Drive Disks shop). Of course, the game is not perfect in my eyes, there are still lots of problems that need to be improved and mostly QoL stuff, but I am very pleased to start my 4th gacha game addiction (please help me i'm starting to be mentally ill)

Now I wish I didn't skip most story plot lines to get here. The game has become very interesting and really fun to play. I think most people won't make it this far however, as the beginning of the game drags on and unless you are hooked early by the story, its easy to say "bad game has no depth, and the TVS! As an avid player of games like Persona and enjoyer of turn-based and open-world fighting, I really enjoy the way the game is presented and how the game's mechanics take inspiration from many games that I personally have enjoyed, for example Persona's life-cycle which is the day-night cycle in ZZZ, or the similar fighting mechanics which is similar to HI3, although I do see some problems with ZZZ, especially the TV sections because of the clunky mechanics and it being a little boring.
All in all, I really do enjoy ZZZ and its characters and its mechanics, and as an avid gamer, not all games have to be perfect, and this game is definitely not perfect and it honestly embraces that, which is what I love about this game.

Sadly internet is full of idiots. Gaming community it's one of the worse, to be honest.
Personally i dislike ZZZ. I think it's boring, the combat gameplay is boring and it doesn't have a little bit of deep, you just need to spam buttons and you kill everything with a bit of patience even if you play with zero strategy. The difficulty of combat is just related to how many def and hp enemies have, and that's bad design. I spent something ilke 10h on the game and... nope. Not for me. It's the first time i feels like this for an Hoyo game, honestly. I tried kinda everything, and I don't like anything of the game (ok not everything. the art team did a WONDERFUL job, but a game it's not only graphic and animations. it's everything. If it was a movie or a visual novel, probably i would love it. But for an action rpg, good graphic, sounds and animations isn't enough if the game itself is boring).
That said, I'll keep play hoyoverse games and if they'll release a new game, i'll definitely play it if it's good 'cause they're very talented but sometimes everyone can do some mistakes. It's ok.For now i'll stick with my beloved honkai star rail

As someone coming from Star Rail, who never played Genshin or WuWa. ZZZ so far feels mid.
There is nothing majorly wrong with it but it consistently misses out on the margines.
E.g. Pulling a character for their looks but can’t use them in the overworld and you can’t turn them around and zoom in on them to admire the details even in the character screen or in missions.
There are different roles but combat rotation is the same except some character wants a bit more field time. Why not increase enemy damage and let supports heal? Why not add bosses that do weird shit unless you break them with stun characters? Why not add big damage mechanics you can cheese with a defense unit?
The TVs is what it is but if you want to make every fight to begin at the computer and with the TVs at least add more computers in the overword, integrate them into the story and make some unique background and maps.

I hadn't watched other dev videos **BUT** for the final promotion thing before the game's release and it should have said exactly what the game was to hype the game, I don't think I did wrong or incorrect by judging the game based on what the devs said and presented *there.* And yeah. 27 mins of maximum hype for combat just to get into ZZZ and its the most minimum amount of combat (not bad, I like it and want more, just minimum amount) is so infuriating.
I'm personally peeved off bc Hoyoverse kinda outright promoted something completely different than what ZZZ actually is. If I'm a Hoyo hater for that, fine. I still think Hoyo was extremely shady there to get downloads.

This kinda show the importance of good fanbase and the importance of taking care of those fanbase. imo Genshin die after they push away Hi3 player that enjoy their actual good combat.
Wuwa give what us Hi3 player that enjoy combat wants, which is a good combat and gameplay to actually use it. I really hope ZZZ can have a good endgame cuz really the only people that actually will stay playing these game are waifu collector that daily log in and do bare minimum. and people that actually enjoy the combat.

You sound quite emotional here ngl. To me the biggest disappointment with zenless is that Genshin ended up being a pretty but mid game, then HSR has been a big step up and now it seems zenless took a turn for the worst and overall is a downgrade from both of them. Was hoping they'd continue their upwards trajectory. I don't want to support a company that has a shoddy track record

We cant play 100 games at the same time and tbh zzz is not very special. so i prefer a lot of other games over it.

The fact of the matter is that they advertised ZZZ as a combat focus. The first 10-20 hours the combat is very boring and tutorial-ish (even challenge mode). You spend the entire time wading thru a bunch of garbage that isn't what they advertised. I don't know who designed the "early game flow" but it's TERRIBLE.
There are plenty of games that do this so much better. They give you all the basics at the beginning (how to play/what your character does), then introduce a new game system every once in a while. This allows you to not be bombarded by non-gameplay related stuff, so it's less annoying and more fun for most players. It feels like ZZZ packs too much of that shit into the first 10 hours.
Other games will give you entire 20-minute levels worth of gameplay and at the end, unlock a new feature or upgrade or whatever. ZZZ is like here's 5 minutes of wading thru the TV system puzzle, then a 30-second fight, then 2-3 minutes of TV puzzle, then another 30-second fight, then 3 minutes of a random mini-game, then 5 minutes of fetch questing, then 2-3 minutes of reading the new game system they introduced to you, then 3 more minutes of dialogue. Ok now repeat the process during your next quest, except this time it's a main story quest so there's more dialogue and a bunch of cutscenes. Sure I enjoy a lot of this bloated nonsense, but the ratios need to change for a COMBAT FOCUS game. Or they need to stop baiting players by lying...
