    Hi! I just bought my black prince and what I did was I wash the roots and air dry it for 24 hrs then I re-pot it. However, after a couple of days I noticed 3 leaves turned red some are squishy and wet but the other one is kinda firm.

    • @succulentsforbeginners
      @succulentsforbeginners  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Miyuyu, thanks for watching! If you have squishy gelly like leaves, that must be overwatered. If you did not overwater it, it maybe already overwatered before you bought it. The leaves turned red could be due to sun stress which is a desirable stress. In this video you watched, there's an instruction how to fix overwatered succulents

    Yes this video helped! It explained why this happened ➡️➡️➡️. I transplanted a leaf to an outdoor pot. It was shaded by a tree (indirect sunlight) for around 5 hrs a day and then direct sunlight once the sun started going down in the West. It did wonderful. We had to cut the tree down due to it being rotten on the inside (some type of worm that affects maples). I noticed a few weeks after that the succulent leaf started turning orange, and a month later it was red. It’s been approx 3 weeks since turning a beautiful fire red/orange and leaf still appears to be healthy. I’m gonna leave it and see what happens.
    Thanks for another great video! Oh...PS: I love your speakers voice. It’s nice and soothing.

      sorry for the late reply, I must have overlooked this message. Maybe the sun is so intense in your area? That could be a factor. Moving it to place with direct sun for half day maybe to lessen the sun exposure

    • @succulentsforbeginners
      @succulentsforbeginners  Před 4 lety

      Hello Dreivie, yes but it should be done slowly. You should acclimate them. The type of succulent you have is also a factor because there are succulents that thrive well in shaded area. Here's avideo about acclimation: czcams.com/video/FHh5ZZuI--I/video.html

    Hi i have only begun taking care of succulents. My rose cabbage and black prince bottom leaves started to stretch down, turn yellow (but not mushy), then wrinkled like the one in the video thumbnail. I have only watered them once (after the signs appeared) and it’s only been a week since I got them. Would truly appreciate your advise. 🙏🏻

    • @succulentsforbeginners
      @succulentsforbeginners  Před 4 lety

      It would be best to observe more. Check the soil if its wet, its best to keep the soil dry if you have these signs
      Leaves stretching down could be a sign of lack of sun exposure

    For #4, is the image on the left the thirsty one? because the one on the right seems "not thirsty" ... but it says
    "thirsty" ? czcams.com/video/UlOYwfHcMr0/video.html

    • @succulentsforbeginners
      @succulentsforbeginners  Před 4 lety

      Yes, the left is not thirsty because there are no wrinkles. If you can see on the right side there are wrinkles under the leaves - which means they are thirsty. Thanks for asking Luis :)
