One of the greatest albums ever made is "Breakfast in America." (1979) by Supertramp. The songs that made a great impact and made this great British band a household name was "The Logical Song," " Goodbye Stranger," "Take the Long Way Home," and "Breakfast in America." Please! go down the rabbit hole that is "Supertramp." Love how excited you both are on the great music from one of the best groups ever.

Hear hear! BUT...I actually think Crime of the Century is a better album. Just an opinion but that's to detract in any way from BiA which is also awesome.

Crime of the Century is one of the best produce albums ever you have dark side of the moon and then crime of the Century. In fact, if you bought a high-end stereo in the 70s early 80s chances are crime of the Century is the album the sales person would put on the demonstrate their system, and if I’m going on a road trip crime of centuries definitely going to be played

Supertramp was a huge group back in the mid to late 70s. They released 4 epic prog rock albums from 1974-79, with the last one, 'Breakfast in America' reaching #1 on the Billboard chart. Soooo many excellent songs: School, Bloody Well Right, Rudy, Hide in Your Shell, Lady, Ain't Nobody But Me, Sister Moonshine, Give a Little Bit, Even in the Quietest Moments, Downstream, Fool's Overture, The Logical Song, Goodbye Stranger, Take the Long Way Home, and Breakfast in America.
Additionally, Supertramp released a double live album, 'Paris' in 1980, which celebrated their musical talent and musicianship. An extraordinary group of 5 men that produced some timeless music.

This song is from Supertramp's concept album, Crime of the Century, so it's best enjoyed as a whole, to get the story of Rudy, a painfully shy and depressed gentleman who just can't seem to fit in anywhere or with anyone. Probably one of the more significant albums of the 70s. There isn't a weak track on it. Enjoy.

Veteran of exactly, YES EXACTLY, 1010 concerts since 1973. (I have the ticket stubs, the friends, the 2 ex-wives, the many, many battle scars, no not from the exes, but battle scars from some of those concerts I attended, and I also have the 15 billion or so brain cells I murdered partying at these shows to prove it. Come to think about it, I never even gave them poor bastards a proper burial.)
Seen pretty much every band imaginable, covering a wide range of genres, in a "live" setting.
    I like too say,
"I've seen everyone from A to Z, "ABBA to Zappa, and every band and artist in between."
Till this day, December 3rd, 2021, Supertramps "Breakfast in America" tour, during the year of 1979, is STILL, after all these years, in my top 5 concerts of all time. I was somewhat stunned and totally impressed with how professional and talented the entire band was and how incredible they sounded live. Blew me away. Perfection at its finest.
In hindsight though, I wish I didn't murder 2,000,000 of my own brain cells that evening. Smoking some of that, "old school", Columbian Gold and washing down a Quaalude with Jack Daniel's will do that you know.
I could have used those brain cells too when decades later I decided, "Yeah, getting married a second time is a real good idea",

"Dreamer" has one of the most interesting time signatures of any pop song. It always sounds like it's about to get going, or in some kind of perpetual Bridge. Then in the last 45 seconds, it takes off. And before you know it, it ends abruptly. Always leave 'em wanting more.
