    I had the Multi 1000 in 2007 - exchanged it for the Hyper 1100s. I had this MTS 1000 again in 2014 - exchanged it for the Monster tricolore.
    I now have the MTS 1100S since 2017.
    I kept coming back to my love, and i'm not gonna leave her now!
    A great and true bike from the older days, that keeps bringing me joy!
    Thx for the video about this italian beauty! (At least for me it is!)

    Still have my 1000s, such an amazing bike, lot of fun with it, ohlins works so great, for me it’s one of the best sporty/tourer ever made , I won’t sell it ❤

      It is one of those bikes that unless you have owned one, you probably won't get the appeal. Definitely one of the best sporty tourers in my books, capable but full of character and charm at the same time.

    My dad have had a Ducati Multistrada 1100S, he's had it for 11 years and he's very happy with it.

    This was the best bike I ever had. I loved it, but it cost a fortune in maintenance. I had the termignoni full sport exhaust/decat. I want another now. 😢. It’s not a sports bike, but it has sport bike geometry. I used all the tyre on it, something I never did with gsxr/cbr900. Brilliant bike. Also, I had zero assache on long journeys. Hundreds of miles with a blissful bottom.

      Hey there, I agree with your comments, I think many people look at it and have a misconception about how it will ride. I have surprised quite a few sports bikes over the years on the old Multistrada. It's the combination of sharp handling, effortless thrust and all day comfort that sets it apart for me...👍

    Great bike and review. If one can get over the looks, you're left with a sporty, very capable, and fun machine.

    I have a 1098s and a 1199 base model i rent for vacations and got me on one of those recently on a mountain ride tour with a group of mix bikes . Was putting supersports to shame on matters of raw exit acceleration and even the 990 ktm from the pack had a hard time keeping up. Duc felt bulletproof also. Now im back to my country only one question remains red or black edition

    I’ve had mine for three months love it but it needs more power I’m working on mods loads of mods just ordered a 100mm big bore piston and going to port and polish and then looking tune we will see

    • @tankslapmoto9999
      @tankslapmoto9999  Před 3 lety

      It's a great bike, a good port and polish of the heads really brings these motors to life. We had a 900ss with high comp pistons, P&P cylinder heads, Remus exhausts, carb re-jet, -1 on the front sprocket and it was fast! Definitely quicker than the standard 1100 Multi (but it wasn't very civilized 😂) Enjoy 👍

    I live in Michigan USA. I have never seen another ducati like mine. 2009 1100s in pearl white. You forgot to show off all the really nice carbon fiber.

      I have never seen one in white, bet it looks awesome. I did miss all the lovely carbon bits, I need to do some more Multistrada videos, I always enjoy riding it and surprising the odd sportsbike on the country roads.

    Awesome review on an older unsung hero. This bike would be at the top of my search but carburetor kinda kills it for me. We need to get you on some of the VStrom 1000's to see what you think!

      All multistradas were born with fuel injection ;) Ducati abandoned carburettors just after the first models of monsters

    Hi there! Nice review, nice surroundings, very nice bike. You are satisfied with wind protection, I am 1.87 tall would you think I will be glad with the protection as well?

    • @tankslapmoto9999
      @tankslapmoto9999  Před 2 lety

      Thank you, yes I am 6 feet 2 inches and find the wind protection to be very good, you can sit at 85mph all day long in comfort👍

    i thought the 1000 ds was the last of the air cooled.isent the 1100 liquid cooled .iv a grey 04 1000ds and bought it a few yrs back .i dident want a liquid cooled bike for the reason i dont use it enough and dident want the coolent laying in it .so this was a big factor in not buying the `1100s

    • @tankslapmoto9999
      @tankslapmoto9999  Před 2 lety +3

      Hello, the 1100 is air/oil, same as the 1000ds. You might be thinking of the 1200 Testastretta👍

      my mistake,still very impressed with the one i have.only disparaging comment i can make about my bike is the flaky engine paint.really takes away from it and leave a really cared for bike look tatty.

    • @tankslapmoto9999
      @tankslapmoto9999  Před 2 lety

      Yeah they are great bikes, I doubt there's any performance difference between the 1000/1100. It is a shame about the flaky engine paint that seems to blight the air cooled Ducatis, luckily our one is in good shape (for now).
