Janet Jackson deserves a huge apology from the media and the industry from their appalling treatment of her from that Super Bowl performance. She one of the most respected, influential female artists in entertainment history. Her music, her lyrics, her music videos are all works of art that laid the foundation for future superstars like Aaliyah, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Janelle Monet, H.E.R. and many more.
The Jackson family, including Michael Jackson deserves an apology too.

And so did Safechuck.

The Real Miya Jay well, "her own narrative" so far generated nothing but another round of MJ trashing in the mass media and she is perfectly fine with it. After MJ never said a bad word about her in the media this is what Janet gives in return.

I’m not ready. I’ve been a lifelong Janet fan, and I’m still not ready. I’m going to have to listen to every Janet record and watch old interviews before I watch this. Because if I don’t…I’ll probably have to pause the doc every 5 minutes because I passed out on the floor and missed a whole bunch.

She was his little star and hope a glimpse of something good and special. He saw it in her before everyone else did. Michael adored Janet. But no he wasn't gonna give her a free ride.
