It is at the end of Haiku road, past Haleiwa Joes, past the townhouses, you will see the sign on the right hand side. It is next to the new Kamehameha preschool. Love visiting the nursery! Rick is very friendly, always willing to help and knowledgeable about the plants. There is a wide variety of plants and they are also reasonably priced!

@phi1968 if you plant the cutting, don't cover it with mulch. A portion (2/3 rd's) above the soil. It will take a while to sprout - you might have over-watered it. Did it rot? I grow them in Phoenix.

South side big island here. Was wondering if you ever grew mamane trees from seeds? If so got any inside info? I am currently trying to do this because trying to remove a seedling or larger is mostly impossible for all my attempts. I love your pushing native plants aloha aina

nice video, mahalo. This was made before our Rapid Ohia death? Can you comment on if ppl should still be transporting Ohia Lehua from one micro environment to another? (windward Oahu to n.Shore, or even into Palolo valley?) Its my understanding that no more inter island shipping of Ohia -correct? pls update I may be wrong.

I've tried cutting some Ti plants (both red and green) and then regrowing them in potting soil w/ some mulch on top. Plenty of sunshine. Water it every day for weeks, but nothing happens. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?

He didn't mention that some of the endemic hibiscus are the only hibiscus in the world with a fragrance--not the one he showed, though.

If you ever go to another country, despite you trying to learn the language, it will be impossible to understand the words when they talk super fast, like how fast you're saying the Hawaiian words.
