Used motor oil can be recycled but that calls for the oil to be collected in appropriate containers and delivered back to the refinery, but it is considered a loss for a company. Luckily there are other incentives to do so, such as tax breaks and subsidies to encourage businesses and individuals to participate in the process of recycling waste oil.
