    Happy holidays and I clicked really fast when I seen polish food. European countries seem to always have better architecture than just our basic block buildings in America

      Some of the buildings in Wroclaw Main square date back to the 13th century. Crazy

    Great video. Poland is beautiful. When you consider all the destruction Poland has been through over the years they have done a beautiful job restoring everything. Can't wait to see the rest of Poland. Eat up and enjoy and keep your tush warm Kelly and maybe not wear genes with holes in them during the winter :) Love you guys and stay safe and warm. By the way which is colder Iceland or Poland?

      @TheAwkwardTourists  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks! We saw some remnants of the bombing (there was an unexploded shell in the side of a building that we forgot to film) but like you said, most of it has been restored. I think Iceland was colder, but as you can probably tell by now, Kelly doesn't do well with the cold

      Some might be surprised to know that most of Poland (on average) is colder than Iceland (or closely comparable) from December to February (lowland areas), despite Poland's location much deeper south. For example, Reykjavik's and Warsaw's average 2001-2020 temps are as follows (Celsius): Dec 1.3/0.3, Jan 1.1/-1.7, Feb 1.6/-0.4. The rest of the year (apart from winter) is a different matter. About post-war reconstruction, just compare Gdańsk to Kaliningrad.

    Podplomyk is not a pizza . Traditionally it was made from dough left over from home made pasta, it use to be "bake" on the top of the hot wooden stove

    • @TheAwkwardTourists
      @TheAwkwardTourists  Před 2 lety +1

      That makes sense, It didn't taste like pizza dough, Just looked like it. It tasted like their wasn't any yeast in the dough
