  • Is it worth passing the Google Cloud Platform "Professional Cloud Architect" certificate to learn about GCP, and think about migrating apps from Streamlit Cloud to GCP?

So far I have used some Google Cloud and all the services it has seem interesting, which does have to take into account the issue of payment and the card but in my opinion it makes up for what it has and the scalability. As for streamlit, I really like it since I can make projects that are quite applicable to my work. Now that you mention the cloud and streamlit thing, I will be looking forward to those videos and tutorials. Honestly, congratulations for all the knowledge and contribution to the community. Greetings from Argentina.

It's crazy, I noticed how I use the free service instead of the service which costs a few cents per month, but since I need to put a credit card there's a bit of a mental block.
I guess I'll try something to inspire people to not be afraid of putting the credit card for new services. Wait & see, thanks for the support and for watching 🙂

@@andfanilo Don't worry, you understand, it happened to me that when trying services I used big table and it brought me costs but I still think it's worth it, Google offers many services and in the long run one has to take that leap. Thanks again bro, and when is a live Q&A coming out?

Maybe an idea for a video is how to protect the app with an login and password. Currently we are using Azure for Streamlitt dockers and it seems difficult to make a client login.

      Hello!
I have tried multiple things but wasn't satisfied by any of them yet (st_oauth, building my own auth component, authenticate through Keycloak/Firebase Auth/Azure AD and pass JWT tokens to Streamlit), plus I'm still a bit of a beginner when it comes to auth and it's a sensitive topic I don't want to rush a video on
I think the Streamlit PMs are thinking of native auth in Streamlit and collecting use cases. I know some of them are reading the comments so feel free to share which Auth service(s) or protocol(s) you'd like to use (need additional Streamlit endpoints for oauth callbacks or listening to webhooks? cookies? custom headers), I'll pass it to them!

@@andfanilo OAuth, Azure AD or anything with an individual login. Essentially steel with pride from any business solution. Individual login, password and a bit of log . Streamlitt looks professional but sending it out to a client is an hassle. Currently we control via IP address but it is a night mare. All clients thinks that the solution is amazing, except for the missing login. I am not a programmer or infrastructure engineer, but the workflow within GIT, Python (Streamlitt) and Azure/ docker is a game changer for data engineering. Just need a login to wraparound the solution.
