This was so informational. I also use natural sunlight plus a small ring light to film and I also use my iphone for my voice overs and I email it to myself and download it!

Oh my God! Thank You! That audio tec. was everything. I have an audio class and when we did projects I had to use the boom mic and etc. It was so much for me because I had to do it by myself. No bueno...One day I decided to use my phone recorder but when it was all said and done, I didn't know how to get the sound lol...I was so upset. Now I know I can e-mail it to myself...I didn't even know that was an option. Thanks Gurl!

Thanks I was just wondering about lighting yesterday. I usually use my desk lamp and the lamp from target that looks like a desk lamp but it's a stand and the room is really bright but not me lol. Can't wait to try these tips.

This helped sooo much! I know a lot of youtubers who have the lights behind their camera facing directly at them, which I've tried and it hurt my eyes after filming so I just used natural lighting instead

Nice video, And I figured out how to use the iphone as a mic plugged into the computer too, so the voice is being recorded onto the computer not the phone. I need to get some umbrella lights. Right now my lighting set up is a mess. I just have couple small lamps, and don't always have a place to set them. Got cords going all across the floor, and be tripping over them knocking shit down, breaking light bulbs. Filming is a lot of work lol

Pretty crazy, don't know how I found your channel, but glad I did. Love your videos! I'm about to hop over to your audio & video one, but before I do I wanted to tell you - you may know this now, but there's a DIY on the mic for the lapel. I did it today and it works great. You take a whatever pair of ear buds with cell phone capability and a clip on it, preferably get one that only has one wire and one ear bud. Either way, you basically cut both ear buds off at the point where the mic is - so the only thing you leave is the mic and the wire under the mic going into your iPhone. You can then put your iPhone in your pocket or anywhere and you're good to go!

I use my iPhone to record my VoiceOver audio as well ! I use to think I'm the only one who did that..lol. It's really simple and easier than setting up an actual microphone. Saves money too if you're on a budget and can't afford those expensive microphones.
