Lovely! question: I made a glass mosaic table too, a few years ago. left outside under cover on deck/ But hard water and watered plants etc. the glass is not shiny anymore! tried windex, and a stone polish for kitchen. no luck any ideas? if I pour water on it looks great. I hate to put varnish on it as that will chip or peel. thanks

Kylie I am making the leap of having tiled and grouted 1 stepping stone to this. I plan on liberating your design and substituting colors. I have a 4' diameter wood dining table for my project. Did you glue the square sections to mesh first and then glue mesh to table? Have any tips on getting the star dimensions and centering on the table?
This is beautiful! What is the original table made out of? We have an outdoor table we need to fix because the tile it had broke and is all cracked. But this may be a great idea on how to fix it.
Yes I have a pine timber table top and need to know if it will make it weather proof ?

I find my grout dries very quickly when it looks like your consistency? Dries before I get it all rubbed in.

A grout float trowel would have worked easier than using your hands. Fyi.
How about cement board, Thin-set or C-Cure permabond??? Why not do it right the first time??--- and it will last 100 years
But you yourself wont enjoy it for 100 years
