So if you don’t wanna waste ammo on the first red guy, pull the spike ball switch at the top of the ladder first and immediately jump down and pull the elevator switch, it should kill the red guy as soon as he spawns

I was trying this in NG+ Hardcore and after 10 failed attemps I sold everything in my inventory and bought the infinite Rocket Launcher to erase these monks from existence.
I think that's supposedly how they expect you to get this trophy, but there are quite a few guys that did it without even needing the infinite Rocket Launcher... It is just that somehow their Riot Gun works better than my Striker (already at 14.4 power), I guess as the Striker is better at close range while those cultist guys are at a bit further away from the elevator so Riot Gun has better attack power for further effective attack distance?
This really sucked as I really don't want to replay the bottom portion of the clock tower by going back to merchant/re-purchase the Riot Gun and upgrade to almost the level of the Striker just to see if that works a bit better on the cultists (talking about the money I have to spend to buy back the Riot Gun/upgrading will be a LOT).
The 2nd Red cultist also draws away a little extra time from my attention while a few guys usually climbed up the stairs to jump from high up...

These achievements and challenges feel like they're meant for you to suffer lol Thank you for the help, I used a maxed Punisher, Riot, and Stingray for this but it felt like I had to literally know every spawn, be looking 10 different places at once once the second Red Lantern priest spawns. I still have no clue how in the world I'm supposed to clear this entire game in 5.5 hours.

it’s not as hard as you’re making it out to be, you’re meant to unlock the accessories and outfits with bonuses to help you run through the game faster. got professional s+ using the tommy gun and using its ultimate upgrade to unlock its infinite ammo by chapter 7 with 30 spinnels

Just keep replaying it on easy or normal mode and save up. If you have time, you can eventually get enough for the infinite RL. It’s fun to relax after putting in time suffering 😎
A good way to save yourself the trouble is to use the iron ball then drop down and pull the lever. It will already kill the red monk
Fuck this achievement, only one enemy got on my lift but too much of a headache to keep trying, wanna enjoy the game
I was 5 second from that trophy most needed infinite weapon for this
even if an enemy lands on the lift, if Leon doesn't say his line about the lift stopping, you can kill that enemy quickly. I got the achievement, one enemy landed on the lift but I killed him quickly, the lift didn't stopped.
If one does land on the lift you have a very brief window to kill the enemy before the lift stops. It's like a couple of seconds though so it's way better to kill them before they even get that far. Getting a spiky ball going then immediately jumping down and starting the lift also works to take out the first red guy too if you're quick.
At right about 1:50 when you start getting around to the second crimson enemy there's always some random dude that drops that I cannot see! I'm spinning around like fucking crazy but have no idea where he drops from!
He's probably from the very top where the shield guy is. If the enemies are allowed to go up the ladder, they'll jump down, and can be almost impossible to hit.

I recently got this achievement using the following method.
•Make a manual save at the merchants location prior to getting on the elevator.
•Sell all of your treasure, jewelry, & other weapons to purchase the TMP & black-tail pistol.
•Fully upgrade the black-tail pistol and TMP.
• Ensure you have bough ammo for the black tail and TMP (I got through with 235 rounds for my TMP & 34 rounds for my black tail pistol).
•Head back to the elevator and before getting on use the lever at the top to drop the ball on the first red cloaked enemy.
•Use your pistol to take out the first 5-6 enemies and switch to the TMP from that point on. It will take you a few tries to memorize where the enemies are, but after 4-5 attempts you should be able to complete it without much issue.
After the achievement pops, reload your manual save and go through the ride normally conserving ammo as needed.

@@manea7074 You can use the red 9 or black tail, I’d just make sure that the weapon is fully upgraded to get as many 1-2 shot head kills as possible.
I pulled the spike ball lever twice before going up so the second ball runs over the red cloak. I felt really cool cheating that kill and its funny to see him die as soon as he spawns. love this game
Took me about 10 or so times. With my riot gun and mitilda. Every few seconds pausing game and looking around in photo mode helps !
FLASH BANGS!!! Biggest inventory, full of bang, tossing them fairly consistently, they can't make it onto the lift. Super easy.
I bet this would work on any difficulty. I did it on easy mode game +, I needed 3 challenges; Not talking to Merch, Parrying all 5, and the elevator, figured best odds were easy mode after getting overly agitated on professional. Get you some.
I will say I was on a knife/handgun run and did this with a fully upgraded Matilda with the attachment. Thank you for this guide, still helped me alot

I had troubles with this but your video made it a breeze. Helpful info about when and where enemies are going to spawn. With a mix of infinite rocket launcher and chicogo sweeper it is definitly less frustrating.

Bugged for me. No enemy landed on the lift. Reloaded save about 5 times, and it never popped.
Also are you playing on easy, with less enemies? Because I have more enemies than you do on the top part of the lift, and I'm on normal.
Yes, this guy is a scrub and is telling people how to get a task while playing on the easiest difficulty. Anyone can do that….

WHY ISNT THERE A CHECKPOINT AT THE LIFT?
There definitely is a checkpoint right before the lift

Guys it’s best to play this on assisted and craft all the flash grenades you can, it’ll stun them long enough for you to reload if you need to, of course having any sub machine gun will help and magnum or sniper for the shield guy.
Broo this was very helpful and yes you can use the spike ball switch first then jump on elevator then quickly use it to take out first red crimson. I would STRONGLY recommend having riot gun since it has way better range than the other shotguns and your Stingray rifle should have good power and rate of fire because that was what saved me from shield guy😂
My best strategy for the first Crimson lantern guy is to pull the lever for the ball and then immediately jump down to the elevator and pull that lever. You'll never see him.
Came back to complete this achievement almost a year later and I figured out if they land on the lift but you kill them immediately you will still get the achievement as long as it doesn't stop the lift
I love how everyone says to use the spiked ball as if that's the problem with this achievement. It's everything after.

This took me 5 tries. So what i did was, saved the game before getting on the lift, i had alot of treasures and stones so i combined em. Sold em, got myself the infinite rocket launcher. Blasted my way up randomly, then finally got the trophy, then loaded the game normally
That was handy guidance. I got stuck at some point with all of them jumping on.
Just unlock this achievement not too long ago. I used the Red 9, Riot Gun, Killer 7 for the Red Guys, and Heavy Grenades. The trick is when they hop on the lift you have 2 seconds to kill them, once Leon says, "What, the lift!", start over.
I tried to do this on Standard. I just couldn’t do it. 😢

Capcom has a way of making incredibly frustrating challenges. The amount of times I've reloaded the area is ridiculous. The fact that you can shoot an ennemy and make them fall on the platform is dumb. If devs want to make it hard, fine, but make it quick to try again. A "restart checkpoint" would've been great.

you can do it pretty easy if you make a save right before attempting this and throw some stun grenades to the platforms enemies hop off and then just reload the save to keep your stuns
I have a separate manual save lined up before the clocktower specifically for this trophy. I think I'll use the IRL. I did manage to lob a grenade at Salazar at least but I'll try that lift again after my treasure hunt run in the island

I'm using GoldHen cheats with unlimited ammo, and no reloading. Any weapon will do.

Every now and again I come across some achievement that I just cannot get. I wasted SOOOOOO much time on this. It just wasn’t happening. My Red9 was maxed but I didn’t have the riot shotgun. I had the supposedly better one. Superb at point blank, but on this achievement it sucked ass! Screaming at the TV. Blood pressure through the roof. It suddenly dawned on me. It’s 20 frickin’ points. My total is 106,475. So who GAF about. 20 points. I moved on and normality resumed. Ps. Not sure I mentioned that I HATED this!!!! 😡😡🤬🤬🤬
If you already aren’t on another playthrough, an easier way to do this is to go back to merchant, make a manual save in a slot and then sell all your upgraded guns and stuff to get enough money to fully upgrade the riot gun, then go back to the clock tower by first hitting the spikey ball lever and then hitting the elevator to kill the first red shaman and then use the smg for the first barrel and then use the upgraded riot guns on the large groups after that especially the ones trying to climb the ladders along with the second shaman Guy. Once you reach the top and get the achievements, reload the save you had earlier and you receive all your stuff back. Finally, you can play it again normally.
@@SlicedReaper_21 An even better way is to do a second play through and buy the special rocket launcher. I did this 1st attempt with that! 👍

I used the bolt thrower for the red guy! I shoot 2 on the floor before I pull the lever and as soon as he goes there ! ( BOOM) dead same thing with the guy on the top
You dont need to waste that much bullets, I just did it on hardcore whit the red9 only. Thanks for the video tho the exact spots were the zombies stands really helped

People keep jumping on the lift from different positions. I've been at this the last 2 hours and the AI must be getting wise to my movements. There must be a few more as i've memorised this run and it's not working for me so far. Will keep going cos it's a straightforward but frustrating trophy like the cart in mine one.
Edit.. Hours later still can't get it following this exact guide but people spawn in different positions. Playing on Normal if that helps. Any advice?

I gave up on this achievement, was too hard to keep looking in every direction, someone always seemed to jump onto the lift.
They can land on the lift for 1/2 seconds just aslong as Leon doesn’t say the line “the lift”
You can always try on your next playthrough with better weapons!
@@Maka91Productions not sure if I want to do another play through, some of these puzzles are so damn complicated even with full walk-through guides. Not sure how anybody will do. Speed runs when these puzzles sometimes take half an hour to complete or more. But I am enjoying the game.

Yes sir all though I did it in my first playthrough maybe 5 tries tbh
The only run specific achievements tied to New Game would be the S+ Rank Achievements, since S+ requires New Game. Stuff like No Heals, No Merchant, Handgun + Knife Only, etc. can be done on New Game+ Files.
Is getting S rank hard? Also is there S rank and S+ or is its only S+ rank I still got to do the speed run never knew to get S rank u got to complete the game under 5 hours 30 min seems hard
S Rank is not hard as long as you save it for runs where you'll have Infinite Rockets, or the Chicago Sweeper!

@@jerryhobbs3261 You can go NG+ for A and S Ranks, but S+ requires a fresh New Game Save File. However, you can use Bonus weapons like the Chicago Sweeper or Primal Knife for S+, you just need to be on Playthrough 1/New Game.

@@jerryhobbs3261 Yeah, you are just not allowed to use the Bonus Weapons if you want to get the Handcannon. That requires a Professional Run without Bonus Weapons. BUT time is not important for that run and you are allowed to use Cosmetics (e.g. Cat Ears for Infinite Ammo)

Has anyone done this on a Handgun only run?
I'll tell you what I just did, I'm on a NG+ knife+gun only, no heal, no merchant, made it all the way here without taking damage on Assistent difficulty.
What I did was get to Salazar without taking damage and only pistol, then I loaded a backup save sold everything bought the infinite rocket and did it first try, then I loaded back to my pistol only save.
yeah it’s possible, it takes quite a few tries and you need to memorize where the enemies drop down from

@@x-Abraham-x2 You can Upgrade Weapons in NG and then use them in NG+ without talking to the Merchant in the NG+ run. You could take the Silver Ghost Starter Handgun with the Increased Crit Rate for Normal Mobs and have a Blacktail or Red 9 for Bossfights since Crits don't do much for Bosses, but the latter guns have more base damage.
