Every musician has been there. The tempo is a little faster than you rehearsed but you've gotta roll with it. Once they settled in, they rocked the hell out of this tune. Not sure how the audience didn't dance the entire time.

Does anyone know who put together this arrangement? I've always been a fan of Raul Malo and The Mavericks and happened to stumble upon this while surfing for another song.
Whatever happened to Nick Kane? The Mavericks are the most underrated band of all time. Amazes me how people have never heard of them or Raul. Their loss!

+Mike Yuille Either that or you just dont appreciate originals like they do, the tempo is so far out on this tune that they killed the lyrics in my eyes, it's supposed to be a sombre/mellow song..... Dont get me wrong this is a good cover but the beat is way to fast to go with the lyrics fluidly, although i am NO musician, in my opinion....

I saw the same iteration of the Mavericks do this in Chicago in 1998 and it sounded the same as it does here. The song totally kicks ass.
