Unwritten history points that we the igorots of northern Philippines came from India. Only now of this computer era we can navigate via google i noticed that you people of north India are similar to us igorots. A glimpse of history: 8 boat people of 8 subtribes came from India. now probably north India to the Maharlika- is the original name of the Philippines prior to 1521. This 8boat people of 8 sub-tribes travelled via sea south of Maharlika to the north Maharlika. They preferred to inhabit the hinterlands. Mountainous just like north India. We are now known as igorots. I for people and golot for mountain. Combining the two is igolot to igorot. Translated as people of the mountain. So much for unwritten history. Thank God for his mercies and grace. Before we are not His people but now 80% are His people. Hallelujah. Amen.
