Walk from Slapewath to Skelton

The walk starts in Slapewath with the walk going due East along Cleveland Way (2.4 miles). The next section (1.2 miles) is a stroll through the streets of Skelton-in-Cleveland. The walk returns (2.8 miles) along Cleveland Street to Slapewath - so a total walking distance of 6.4 miles.
We had walked along Cleveland Way from Slapewath to Saltburn a few years. However, my wife Naoko, was curious to walk along Cleveland Street, and to have a look at the viaduct, built about 1860, in the woods to the south-west of Slapewath. She found a website which gave the history of the viaduct.. www.forgottenre... .

We actually extended the physical walk to include Skelton Castle but found that the original castle, dating from 1140, had been replaced by a non-accessible country house so I have removed this section from the CZcams.
