THANK YOU FOR WATCHING AND BEING WONDERFUL!!!
According to the Sephora page, “The iconic Dior lip balm infused with color-reviver technology that adapts to the pH of lips to reveal a custom glow for up to six hours.” So yes the dior lip balm has that pH pink!
Ironically the only product that did that right was the essence cranberry lip oil. It's perfect. Almost transparent but not quite, gives just a hint of color and is very nourishing. It was a limited edition I guess, and it's discontinued but in every Essence post you'll see people calling for its return. I'll enjoy mine till it lasts, it's almost finished
Yes exactly, I'd been buying it since there was only one shade when I discovered it, and when I've shopped for it not in-store it's often unclear if I'm getting the "Color Reviver" adjusts to pH colour changing ones or not. (Why can't Sephora get their website together, ugh! They're not the only ones, but still.)
Mahogany is the only shade that doesn't do the pink thing. It's very frustrating!
That color is actually pretty strong though sadly. I can never wear it by itself really.
Wow she’s good! Ha does that mean that all of their colors will turn pink on her?? It’s funny that’s the one I 💕
DIOR ADDICT
Hydrating Shine Lipstick - 90% Natural-Origin Ingredients - Refillable -- 100 Nude Look. This is a lipstick and different from the Dior Lip Balm with completely different ingredients. It has no fragrance to my damaged nose. I hate fragrance in my makeup because of my allergies.
I can't stand mint anything because of allergies, especially the horrible Burt's Bees which comes without mint but is hard to find.
I think one of the main problems with make up is the reality that products call themselves one thing but are more like another thing entirely. Lipstick to lipstick or blush to blush or foundation to foundation is misleading. Some concealers can be used as foundation for example.
Hanna, you want a balm, but under my rule above that what a product is called means not so much in terms of how you use it, so try the Addict Lipstick in Nude.
I suggest Hanna goes to a store which carries all the colors of Dior Addict LIPSTICK and try the 100 Nude Look shade. Don't buy another Dior balm as yes, they do have that technology that turns pink on her. Don't buy another Dior anything without trying in a store. Though a new baby makes a trip to a mall store hard I imagine.
Dior Addict Lipstick is my new favorite for soothing color.
I use the Elf Lip Mask as a hydrating/soothing clear product at night and around the house. But in winter, even this is not enough.
I am very interested in the most soothing lip products as I have a lifetime habit of licking my lips and need hydration more than ever as I age.
I believe I may have developed this habit in childhood because I could not breathe through my nose due to sinus infections. This led to dry lips which I probably had to lick while I slept or tried to sleep. Just awful that there is no real treatment for this.
I will await the drugstore video with much interest.
Curious if you'd consider adding a K-Beauty version of this adventure... 🤔🧐
Girl, you read my mind
This! I'm especially interested in how the Romand Glasting Melting Balms fair...
They are transcendent (sp?)
@@Raewynnieyes! Love them
YES
For the Dior Lip Glow, the trick is to just put one layer on instead of making multiple swipes. Let it sit there for a little bit and the sheer colour will develop. If you want to reapply a couple of hours later, do one layer again and you’ll still end up with a nice sheer colour. If you swipe multiple times when applying, it becomes very bright and a completely different lip product experience.
That actually makes perfect sense. Same as any immediate color
Great idea. I will try that. Thanks
Thank you. I didn't know.
Im still looking for a dupe for this product.. I love the oil and balm so much!
@@arozeisarozie I recently bought the givenchy rose perfecto liquid lip balm. I bought one of the limited edition summer shades. I think it's better than dior.
this is my march madness
YESSS! 😂 it’s not sportsball, it’s sportsbalm! 🤣
Fully
Honestly if you spent this whole year doing sheer bullet balm reviews, I would enthusiastically watch all of them. I think this is a unicorn product you're highlighting!!
Honest Beauty lip balm is truly transparent and non-toxic to boot.
@@lorrilewis2178I enjoyed the Honest lip balms. I should pick them up next time I go to the pharmacy.
Same!
Luxury products are always so full of fragrance. I cannot deal with it.
I’m shocked at how many people like YSL. The scent and tests was so awful it was gaggy. I don’t use fragrance free.
@@jessabeauty917I used to work in cosmetics and worked for a lot of different brands. The main difference in luxury versus mid range brands is the god awful fragrance. People think perfume = fancy
It's never even a generally appealing fragrance either! It's always a powdery bitter floral, something you would never consider putting near your mouth!
Like stop being weird and stick with soft mass appealing vanilla, no one is complaining about the scent of Mac lipsticks.
Or soft mint most people will deal with.
Or even soft fruit, or edible florals like chamomile if you have to.
But NO ONE is excited to spray perfume in their mouth, it's just a weird thing to put in a lip product.
I recently tried some drugstore tinted lipbalms from german organic drugstore brands Lavera and Alverde and I was totally shocked about how strong and artificially they were scented. Obviously they want to be perceived as fancy and try to succeed in the mainstream market with it. I’m out, I can’t stand it. I once bought a Gucci Lipstick because it was so pretty but couldn’t even stand to have this on my lips because it felt totally chemical and artificial. I had tomwipe it off immediately. I’m so much used to organic makeup that I can’t bear conventional makeup anymore…
I get that fragrance is part of the luxury experience but... Actually I don't get it, why is being choked by clouds of perfume part of the luxury experience?
YSL candy glaze does have a clear shade, 02 sweet pink! Not sure why it's described to be pink, it's pretty much just a lovely clear glossy balm!
I love the Sweet Pink shade!
She is looking for a tint tho. Just a sheer one so that still wouldn’t check off her requirements
The component also gets yucky as you use the product due to the formulation.
I have the Candy Glaze in shade 03 Cacao No Boundary. I love it. It definitely reads as a lipstick on me. It also doesn't read cacao at all. On me it is a red. I wear it, but I have to use a mirror or check myself in my phone to prevent the sloppy lipstick all over my face situation that can happen sometimes. Or, is that just me?
Shade 02 is definitely a sheer milky pink. It isn’t really visible if you naturally have pink lips. I have med olive skin and it both lightens and cools down my natural lip color.
Chanel Coco flash in "boy"! It has the transparency and slight grey/neutral tone ✨
I was going to say the same thing!
Yes! I was thinking the same. It's a great color.
That is my go to when I want something cool toned, sheer lip product. I have gone through multiple tubes of it.
On me it look like I am dead for a couple of months😅😅😅
I like this one but it is so thin and does not stick around at all. I wish this color was available in a more tenacious formula.
for the drugstore showdown try Elf hydrating core lip shine (in delightful or happy), Burt's Bees tinted lip balm (in red dahlia), and Sephora Collection rouge lacquer (in no regrets)!
Love the sephora collection rogue lacquers. Maybe a bit pigmented but at 50% off….. worth checking out for sure
I find Burt’s Bees to be quite pigmented too. I’m not quite as pale as Hannah but almost, so may be in a similar place with everything looking like a lipstick haha
Intrigued by the Elf though, the hydrating core sounds very promising
The elf core lip shines are some of my fav! I recently received a three pack of the Burt's bees as a gift & couldn't handle how much menthol is in them 😢
I love the burt’s bees one too, in the red dahlia and hibiscus shade.
I also like the fresh tinted balms, but I do think they’re worth searching in person as some shades are more pigmented than others.
@@blendofdaysthe Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms are unscented (unlike the basic OG Burt’s Bees lip balms which yes are very peppermint flavored)
i am living for this skin, blush and BROWS. you look amazing Hannah! Brow tutorial PLS
I think she did a recent brow routine update tutorial a few weeks ago... 🫣
I SO love the Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm. They are all the sheer lightly colored balmy fabulousness (maybe not super shiny) but still FAB!!
What a blast of a video. I love the way you are "picky" about the products you buy. You don't bash them outright, or slander them beyond belief. Rather you jovially point out ways they didn't fit your criteria. It's entertaining, thoughtful, and fun. And it encourages me to reflect on what criteria matter to me and to be more thoughtful about the things I desire rather than just chasing after any shiny object.
Thanks, Hannah.
I really think you would like k beauty tinted glossy balms. They are well formulated, often with nourishing ingredients and even SPF. Fragrance tends to be minimal and they’re drug store priced. The Romand glasting melting balms and the Nivea Japan rich care and color balms are a good place to start.
Romand's balm has a very annoying smell. Far from "minimal")
I was thinking this too, altho I'm not quite sure she'll like them, at least she should try them lol
I agree, I hate lip products that taste like perfume, I wish brands would stop doing that. So many, otherwise great products runied by scent
I had a Gucci lip balm that I loved and used daily. I used it up within a year and promptly re-ordered. When I re-ordered, I found that the price had gone up significantly-- and then when I received it, it was already smelling like crayons, i.e., it was old (even though the stamped code suggests that it was manufactured in 2023). Yes, I returned it. Anyway, this whole episode, especially the price rise, has turned me off to luxury makeup. I'm not saying I won't buy it anymore, but I'm taking a fresh look at drugstore and indie brands. I'm looking forward to the drugstore balm video!
I was in love with the Gucci sheer lipsticks with the rosebuds on them, I used all my favorite shade, the Marguerite Jade, and the 2nd one i ordered smelled like crayons. Sucks because they dont have that shade anymore....IT WAS EVERYTHINGGG
Would love to see a k beauty installment in addition to drugstore! I so needed this video because luxury lip balms in particular have been tempting me so badly lately! I needed the reality check lol. I’m still really eyeing the kjaer Weiss tinted balm tho 👀 I was hoping that’d be in this video and you’d rule it out for me 😂 would also love to hear your thoughts on the Bobbi brown, I think that might check the boxes too
I like Romand's Glasting Melting Balm in 11 Buffy Coral. It checks all the boxes for me.
Definitely with you on the Romand glasting melting balm, such a great formula, the colours in that range are so so nice too
Romand has a very annoying cheap chemical "fruity" smell. But everything else is really good about them.
I have the Nougat Sand colour, which has become my daily go-to. I wonder if it would be a bit too pigmented for Hannah's criteria though.
@@elisepeachey1633 The colors from the original series are quite bold, pigmented colors. But 10 and 11 from the Dusty on the Nude are a lot more manageable even with a bare face
Wearing that exact shade today!
Please continue this series, because I, like you, constantly crave and chase the high. The high that is a very, very sheer cool tone tinted lip balm. I despise pink tones on my lips, so I have written off most any and pH product.
Do you like the Honest beauty lip balm in plum drop? It’s soooo sheer and cool desaturated toned. Too sheer for me. But the color is awesome. It’s also a little on the thinner side not gloopy at all, like I swipe on 3-4 coats. I prefer gloop lol
Not sheer at all, but if you like soft greige colors and hydration then I like the "essence" brand Caring Shine line vegan collagen lipstick in 206 "my choice".
Wow! I feel like your experience here also serves to highlight how difficult it can be to find exactly what we want in a makeup product...and how much money can be essentially wasted by going through colors and products that just arent quite right and then reluctantly trying (or forgetting!) to use them up. And the comments are still full of more tempting recs that may or may not work better. I'm increasingly happy to get a break from the cycle during my no buy this year 😅
Thanks for doing your work HLP ❤
Hear hear! The AMOUNT of money I have spent in searching for a black eyeliner and a black mascara that won’t transfer is OUTRAGEOUS. Not having a sanitary method of trying beauty products out, especially as online purchases, is highly infuriating.
How much money I have wasted looking for replacements of products I loved that were discontinued and then searching for replacements of those when they were discontinued. Such is my makeup life. Guess that’s what happens when you are 67 lol
My recommendation is the Clinique sheer chubby stick in either the shade curvy caramel or heaping hazelnut. Although personally I hate the component, (the caps aren’t always snug enough to withstand my purse) the formula checks the boxes: translucent base, thick and shiny but not slippery, no fuss mirror free application like a lip balm, unscented, and quality sophisticated shades to choose from. ✔️ I think it’s been around this long for good reason!
I appreciate these detailed reviews so much.
Agree! such a lovely product in a trashy component
Yes I remember these! Loved the colors they had but the component are awful. You could always tell though because the displays were WRECKED every time you went by
Used to always get it with my skincare :)
I find it quite drying, personally.
@@samw6475 I can see how that could be the case. I do wish the formula leaned more natural for those nourishing ingredients like shea butter and jojoba, but I think it’s a pretty old school petroleum based product if I’m remembering correctly.
The second lip product is a beautiful color on you. It's true it's more of a lipstick than an easy balm on you, but the color is so pretty.
These aren't glossy, but I adore the Fresh tinted lip balms (I think they call them lip treatments). They're nourishing enough on my lips that I don't need anything underneath, it's a true chapstick kind of bullet format that I can throw on without a mirror, the colors are lovely (I have Honey, Cocoa, and Plum), they have enough pigment to show up but not enough to feel like a lipstick, and the scent is very subtle. They also come in a pretty heavy metal component that I absolutely love.
It really is a wonderful formula
the dior definitely has that PH adjusting thing in it, iv watched so many swatch videos of the whole line and they all turn fuchsia
I have mahogany and I love it, I do not see it changing color at all but probably because it is a brown
@@trippishineRosewood doesn't change either, nor does Rose Gold
Has anybody tried the 08 Brick Red shade, and did it turn pink on you? This product is my Holy Grail lip balm; regardless of the shade, I'm here for the amount of pigment and the consistency. However, after trying 01 Pink, 15 Cherry, and 04 Coral, I think I want to try a less pink one. I'm leaning towards either Warm Beige, Mahogany, or Brick Red.
Mahogany did turn pink on me (like a berry)
@@carriel3054Rosewood turned bright pink on me
Both the balm hunt videos I keep thinking "girl just buy a cherry chapstick" guess it can go on the drugs list 😂
So excited for this!! The YSL candy glazes definitely caught my eye.
I for one am so glad you spent your budget on this! Thanks Hannah
“Bright flamingo-y sunset pink” is NOT what the Dior looks like on you…. Not sure if we aren’t seeing it properly on camera? But honestly, it’s very natural on you. It lifts your skin in a flattering way. What’s wrong with pink?
wowwww this ponytail is sooo cute on you!
The thumbnail on this 😹😹😹 it makes me so happy !
You have done so many that i can't remember which is which, but the naturium balm chai i think you recommended is my love right now
I always 👍🏽 your video as soon as I start watching it, because I know it’s going to be a great video no matter what the topic might be 🥰 Thank you for being you and making everything interesting! 💕
The YSL Candy Glaze does come in clear!
hi hannah love your content as always
For a drugstore option, I would highly recommend the Kiko Coloured Lip Balm in shade 08 Almond. It's my go to tinted lip balm that seems to check almost every box you mention, and it's only a couple of bucks. The scent is a bit too sweet/vanilla-like for my liking, but I notice it less when it's on my lips so I'm happy to use it on repeat despite that! It's very neutral on me shade-wise (I've got some of the other shades too but they are a bit too pink for me), and very sheer and glossy - my go-to product to put on with minimal make up to nourish my lips but to make everything look a bit more 'finished' at the same time (for context, my skin tone is very fair with I believe neutral undertones). I can throw it in my bag and re-apply throughout the day without having to use a mirror because of how little pigment it has, while providing the right level of nourishment and tint for me. I don't know the Candy Glaze, but from what I can see in this video, the Kiko balm looks very similar to it when it comes to bullet shape, texture and gloss, but Kiko's really is MUCH less pigmented so it might be your jam! www.kikocosmetics.com/en-gb/skin-care/lips/lip-balms/Coloured-Balm/p-KS02001088
I am thrilled to share that I am enjoying this video in my brand new (to me) Babaa sweater. Coveted for 2+ years, finally found at my amazing local consignment store. Babaa I love you as much as I thought I would. Thank you allowing me to change the subject and yet come full circle for a brief moment. Pls don't throw me off the island.
yes!! the bobbi brown lip balm/tint is my FAVORITE!! i got the holiday set this past Christmas. it came with two full size balms in bare pink and raspberry. i love them and use them nearly every day when i need a pop of color. i rarely use foundation/concealer either and they never look unnatural. no shimmer, just shine. they are a tad bit sticky, but what balm isn't. and they don't have a scent that sticks out too much either. i think claret or nude would be perfect for you :) they even came out with a tinted lip serum that they recommend layering on top of the balm.
I absolutely love the Girlactik Jello Gloss Balm. Very moisturizing with good pigment!
These videos are just for me, and I really appreciate it! 😂
Whoever recommended Fresh Sugar Cocoa Lip Balm in your last video. I got it and 10/10. I love it. It is a pretty brown and smells lemony but isn’t so pigmented that you have to worry about putting it on without a mirror but I will say not really shiny. Just a good hydrating balm.
Hannah saying, 'it was a real hallows and horcruxes situation,' made my day 😂
Wonderful video as always!
Edit to add that I tried that Dior one almost 10 years ago in college, when I was first experimenting with luxury makeup, and I found it to be absolutely atrocious in multiple ways 😬 The color was almost impressively unflattering on my fair-light olive skin (thank you for making me see that I have olive skin, Hannah!) and it actually dried my lips out, somehow. It definitely had the pH color changing thing going on back then, I think it even said pH on the tube and was advertised as such.
I am very much looking forward to the drugstore version of this video!
Question: would you ever consider trying to find a long lasting lip stain over which you might put a neutral balm? That's what I like doing on light makeup days with benetint. I'm still trying to find other sheer enough, natural-looking tints, but it does enough for me right now to really sparingly apply the benetint and then just be able to apply the aquafor I dug out of my backpack over the top for nourishment/protection.
Love this video!! Thank you for the content!! Can you please add k-beauty tinted lip balms to your show down list?
I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate the way you talk about product. So many people either parrot-rave about stuff, and you don’t know whether to trust them. And then there’s a flip side. People who don’t like product, but don’t tell why. So you’re left thinking if it’s personal preference and if you’re looking for something different, it would be perfect for you. Or maybe the product indeed sucks.
For drugstore try CoverGirl Clean Fresh Tinted Lip Balm with Hyaluronic Acid. I have it in the clear version and really like it. I haven't tried any of the actual colours though. If you like YSL try their Volupte Tint in Balm. I have three shades (2, 3 and 11) and the colours are very beautiful plus I like the way they feel.
your brows look fab btw 👏🏻
Hannah you MUST try Burt’s bees tinted lip balm, colourpop just a tint lippie. Not the most luxurious but I am constantly reaching for them. Perfectly sheer and glossy.
Agree, it’s great!
Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Fig, Peony, and Caramel are mainstays for me!
I’m as fair as Hannah, though a different undertone, and I will say that some of the Burt’s Bees lip shimmers are too pigmented for me, so, HLP, if you do decide to try, keep that in mind! :)
What colors do y’all recommend for the Burt’s Bees tinted balms? I’m particularly curious about Red Dahlia ❤
@@Ophelia441yesss I’m very fair and those are too pigmented tbh, they’re just shiny lipsticks imo!
Yes! Drugstore showdown! I’ve been using the Clinique chubby stick for years. Not sure if that counts as drugstore.
Here to highly recommend the Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment, if you do another mid-range video. They definitely have that translucent quality, ability to apply without looking at a mirror, and a buttery feel on the lips. Loving this series!
They didn’t do it for me. I tried two colors but no.
For the drugstore showdown I would love to see you use the Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm. I’ve recently repurchased the shade Fresh Plum and I forgot how much I enjoyed it for day-to-day wear.
Great video, make it a series!
I actually think the Chanel balm looks fantastic on you! I personally love the YSL but I only have it in the clear shade, which appears slightly pink in the tube and is called pink but is genuinely clear with no color changing properties.
BTW the Dior balms definitely have color changing (pH pink) pigments in them. It's the whole "color revive" MO.
Suggestion: choose according to what you think has the best chance of becoming a top shelf- that’s seems fair to me ❤
I think you’d like the rom&nd glasting melting balms! Great texture but keep in mind some of the shades are not so clear, I have Kaya fig and veiled rose and both have pigment but there are some pretty sheer colors too.
The YSL is perfection on you! I'd wear that every day if I looked like you! I'm a huge fan of Dior Addict especially Tie & Dior and Beige Oblique. I think you'd rock the Beige Oblique
I do not find those to be nourishing. I ordered recently when the reformulation came out. Did that change? It’s a nice sheer color.
I've never really found a *truly* nourishing luxury lip balm. I have chronically dry lips and so many lip products just make it worse. I have the best luck with NARS Afterglow and Dior Addict. For nourishment I typically wear a a liner for definition and then top it with By Terry balm - that's truly nourishing but no colour@@jessabeauty917
The clear candy glaze is absolutely addictive
Agree
I love the lilac version of the Dior Lip Glow.
YSL is launching the Loveshine line soon which will be a less pigmented version of the candy glaze balms!
You got the wrong color in the Chanel. The other colors are not frosty, somewhat sheer, and all are fab.
Honestly you are so fair that I think lots of things that feel more sheer on me are absolutely full pigment lip products. Very interesting!
exactly, i think she's forgetting she's white lol
You should try the romand glasting melting balm! It’s a k beauty product not too pigment not too sticky I love it
In the green beauty space , I’d highly recommend you check out Fitglow beauty glosses. They’re in a doe foot, but the finish and lasting quality is unparalleled. And they offer so many colors. You’d probably for for a more sheer color
The YSL looks sooo beautiful on you
I am now left with 6 YSL. 4 Chanel and 4 Dior lip balms and not wanting to use any of them, mostly for the smell..my all time favorite is Clinique lip treatment !
Hannah, I suggest you try the Guerlain KissKiss Bee Glow balms - really nourishing and shiny, and you can easily adjust the pigment level with them.
Also, I think the Chanel Rouge Coco Baume in Sweet Treat would look stunning on you! It's a plummy brown, very unique shade.
Hannah! I bought an hourglass gloss based on your review and while you're still hunting for the perfect balm, I think I've found mine -- I bought one shade then went back a couple weeks later and purchased two more so I have a red-y, a pink-y, and an orange-y shade. I truly wear this everyday so thank you for your review!!
It's because you haven't tried the nude shade of Bobbi Brown extra lip tint, which I've worn for years and checks every box you say. Thicker, plush, no scent, and ok I'm getting to the end of the video and now you are saying it. Yes, you DO have to try it. It's perfect.
But don't get the 'bare pink' as it is ph-changing.
Well I think this series deserves a third video....Lux, drugstore, and a third being mid range. Thank you, dear.
You are in luck! She already did a midrange review video. It popped up as a suggestion at the end. The title is something like, « why is it so hard to find a tinted lip balm that… »
If you’re planning on trying more luxury lip balms - the Guerlain KissKiss Bee Glow is my absolute favourite lip balm. I have mine in a pinky colour, but they hopefully have a more grunge-y shade in the line.
Really looking forward to the drugstore video!
I love that YSL lip balm, but when you were outlining your criteria I was like, oh no it is really pigmented. It is so beautiful and I love how heavy and luxurious the bullet feels
i’d really recommend the dr lipp superfood elderberry lip tint! sounds like what you’re looking for
Loved your video, thank you. I've just subscribed. I look forward to being entertained on my sleepless nights. 😊
I hope you do an easy asian beauty version of this challenge, or include them in drugstore! I recommend the innisfree and etude lip balms, as well as the Japanese Nivea lip balm varieties. I'm 100% on this journey with you.
I mentioned it on your last video, but I really think that the Clinique Chubby Sticks are where it's at!
I really love the Rabanne lip balm in soul kiss! It’s a sheer brown, you might like it too
Try out the Fresh Sugar lip treatment! I have it in a purple color and I’m obsessed.
Ohhh Dior lipglow is my go to since I love the pink it gives :) but maybe you would like it in the mahogany color!
The Dior lip glow definitely does that ph changing thing! Thank you - I thought I was nuts. I have a very light pink that ends up leaning fuschia and I was so upset! I expected a ballet pink and got hot pink.
Another vote for Burts Bees! So good!
I love Milks lip + cheek especially in the color quirk. I use the mini version for the lips 👌
The last time Ulta had the 21 days of Beauty sale, the Bobbi Brown Extra Lip tint balm was part of the sale. The Sale has been renamed to the Semi-Annual sale and it starts soon(I think it starts March 8th). During the last sale I purchased the shade Blackberry and think you might enjoy that shade.
I would love a review of the Hermes matte balms, but I know that does exactly align with what you were looking for with this video
I think the best luxury lip balm is the Guerlain kiss kiss bee glow line. They glide easily and the formula is quite thin compared to YSL and Dior (I think the Dior one is the thickest in the market). The colors do have a pinkish hue to it in general but it's not too pH-pink. It is quite hydrating and holds up longer than other luxury lip balms that I tried.
I second that! I was going to recommend it myself! Personally, I love the Lavender Glow, but they also have some warmer shades.
I love the Guerlain Kiss Kiss Shine Bloom variant ❤
Have you tried the Finding Ferdinand lip balms? They have beautiful grungy colors. I just placed an order and I'm so excited to see if they are my perfect tinted balm. Right now, my favorite is the Kosas colored balms, but I want something less tinted.
Keys Soulcare has a brownish lip (color is Gratitude) balm you might like for drugstore video 👍
Also ulta has an additional color for chanel balm.. 914 Natural Charm…
The hourglass lip balm sticks are totally working for me!
You have to get the clear ysl one. It’s a blue toned clear. It’s so good and enhances your lip color.
What about the Roman’s Glasting Melting Balms. Has anyone tried those. They always look sheer, glossy, delicious!
I love the one I got. Fig something or another…very scented tho!
@@bowenhunter7346 I plan to order the mauve soon. I think Hannah would like Fig.
Rom&nd Glasting Melting Balm in Coco Nude or Nougat Sand! Affordable and sounds exactly like what you're looking for. Been using Rom&nd lip products almost exclusively for over a year now, I'm so obsessed.
This is my life. I’m always on the hunt for a lip balm that gives me a touch of color and great moisture without looking like a lipstick (I never wear makeup). The YSL product you tried has been my go to for a while and there is a color out there that’s not as pigmented. That said, I’ve been enjoying Summer Fridays lip butter balm most recently. It hits your requirements except for one thing - not in a bullet format. It comes in a squeeze tube but has a contoured applicator that makes it pretty easy to apply. Hope that helps!
Dior lip balm in mahogany is perfection!
Oh my goodness w each product I kept thinking “Hannah really needs to try the Bobbi brown lip tint” so I audibly cheered when you mentioned it at the end 😂 Will be fascinated to see if it hits your marks!
I think you might enjoy the Girlacktik Jello Gloss Balms (in AuNaturel or BarelyNude, but there are other pretty shades too)! I like them a lot on their own, with just a lip liner, or as a topper for a matte or liquid lipstick. It's great for touchups too and sheer enough that it doesn't look like a strong lipstick on me (I'm fair-light and cool toned).
Mac glow play balm gives shine, moisture and are looks like a tinted balm not a lipstick.
looking for this comment as well. you just need to find the right shade.
I have the Ilia lip balm and they are great. The colours are maybe too punchy but it is nourishing. And though it fails the bullet requirement the RMS lip lights gloss (I have it in crush) is incredibly comfortable and shiny.
You would love the YSL is the color 02. . It’s just the same but with barely any pigment. Winner winner for sure!!
Watching the last video on the topic and then this one I have two words
*Dazzling Doe*
Still an all time favorite nourishing, easy to wear tinted lip product.
I love the clear candy glaze. It’s the best.
I would love to see your try some Asian beauty options. Even the hourglass that you loved was too pigmented for me! I guess I better just stick with a lovely clear gloss and maybe a bit of a lip liner.
I really like the burt's bees gloss and glow glossy balm stick in shade Chai Time, but it might be too pigmented for you.
Hey Hannah!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!!!!
Thank you - love this series! In retrospect, of course the big luxury brands would not do a lip balm, a decidedly unflashy product, well. Of course, they would add scent and overly saturate the pigment. I think a more “quiet luxury” brand, perhaps one with makeup at the centre of their branding, would be better suited. Eg, Kjaer Weiss, Chantecaille, Nars, Westman Atelier, Bobbi Brown, Clinique etc. Byredo? The second place I think we’ll collectively (I am on the hunt as well and it appears not alone) find a good tinted lip balm will be Korean beauty. Maybe even drugstore. Thanks Hannah and all the commenters on both vids!
