Importance of Youth Work

Concerned that cuts to youth services nationwide could have a significant impact on the lives of young people, Piers Telemacque (21) from Bradford and his group are calling on others to make their voices heard.
They are urging young people across the nation to campaign to preserve such services in their respective communities.

How can I become a youth worker? I was thinking of taking courses in Human Services. Would that program in Human Services help me to become a youth worker after I graduate college. Finally, the reason I want to become a youth worker is because our youth our the next generation, they are our future. Some of today's youth need positive role models. Also 40 percent of our youth today are homeless because they identify as LGBTQ.All in all I want to help others and work with today's youth. So please help guide me to getting started in working to become a youth worker one day.

This is what I want to do as well I’m from the UK. want to be a youth worker but do I have to get a degree to become one? I’ve heard I can go to college and then become a support youth worker to then learn on the job to become a professional youth worker
