I loved dark kitchens too. But when I saw the gray it called to me. LOL. The white countertop was a gamble but it was the only one that look good with the gray.

You should put some really interesting wallpaper in the space leading down to the basement. They have some AMAZING stylish and modern options. Some are even peal and stick so you can change as your design style changes and evolves.

Congrats on your Gorgeous Home!! Also a single lady building with my nieces in mind lol We actually have the same builder (SMH) and did some of the same upgrades, I recognized those gray cabinets right away and I'm so in love with the Mardi Gras tiles in the bathroom. I'm about 6 weeks away from closing, and can't wait to do my walkthrough!! Congratulations again!!
That is awesome! Congratulations on your new home. I know you will love it. Just make sure you bring someone (preferably a homeowner) with you during your walk through. I will be so in awe that you won't see anything wrong. I took my dad and my realtor and the spotted minor issues like paint and uneven molding. Nothing major. But I would have never seen it. Congrats again and you will live SMH.

The kitchen is so grand, but the microwave over the stove looks odd. Deserves a beautiful vent hood!
Unfortunately a hood was only available for a gourmet kitchen. But I prefer a microwave

Here is the maker's site: www.timberlake.com/cabinets/tahoe/ If you scroll on the right side, you will find the color: painted stone. Click on it and you will see the color of the brown cabinet change to my color. I understand what you mean, sometimes it looks light blue under the right lighting. My mom laughs that it messes with her all the time. LOL. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

I'd have built in small shelves put on the wall where the stairs are (going into the basement) and use that to decorate with family photos, and such. Much better than artwork.

Hey! I hope you see this message! Lol! But even though you didn’t name your builder, I KNOW THAT HOUSE! Lol! That’s the house we have chosen. We are going to the design Studio on Monday, and the only question that I have before we go is, was there an option to do a free standing tub in the Master Bath?
Hello. I can tell you have great taste. LOL. Have a great time at the design center on Monday. As of December 2020, they did not provide an option to do a free-standing tub. They do have other models on their website with them, however, they may not be available in your community or that home with the tub isn't available in your community. Don't hesitate to ask the Design Studio consultant. Even though they do offer it on paper, they may still do it if you request it. I got a different color backspace because I didn't like the ones in the dropbox link. So never be afraid to ask anything. The consultants are extremely nice and welcoming. I hope this helps. And please feel free to asks me any more questions. I will respond as soon as I can.
Lol! Great minds think alike! I hope we are able to have a free standing tub through the design studio. Nice place, but just one design comment, and this is in all the new homes, you’re not alone, at the entry there is no transition space/ barrier to enter home. This could be a porch? Or a vestibule prior to entering. Congrats though

Hello from Europe.... I've watched a lot of home tour videos from several states of the USA and I've noticed that most of the new houses like yours have the same interiors. Exactly the same spaces without any difference. Kitchen, bathrooms, master bedrooms etc. Even the decoration of kitchens in all houses is the same. Why that happens????? Shouldn't every house have its own personality ???? By the way congrats for your new house. It's really beautiful!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi. So let me address this because I think there is a misunderstanding. What you are seeing is a Semi-Custom build home. Most of the builder you are seeing are Semi-Custom. So we pick from a already made floor plan and add a few changes. A change I made was a morning room and the alternate upper level. My dining room and library would have been the same the no matter what home I picked. That's the difference between Semi-Custom and Custom. If I had a Custom home, then I would pick everything. From where the kitchen was located to door handle colors. In America, that would cost way more than Semi-custom. With my home, I couldn't pick a paint color. I had 6 options for cabinet color, 5 options for carpet color, and 10 for countertop color. Also, different builders may have contracts with the same companies for items. Like my builder had a contract with GE for appliances. Another Builder may have a contract with them too. Another thing is trends. A big trend now is open floor plans, it may not be 20 years from now and builders will change. You may want to look up Custom builds and not Semi-custom builds. I hope this answered your questions. How long did the process take?
They broke ground on the 1st week In January and completed it on May 4th. So 5 months. But that is just building. I started working with the builder in September and picked my selections on October through December
Who was the builder and what model is this home? I love it!! Definitely considering them for my next new build. You have a beautiful home. I know you will enjoy it. Congratulations!!

We dont have basements in South Florida thats why I want to move😒
My cousin lived in FL and said the same. My cousin in TX and co-workers in HI say the same too. That was so wild to me. Being from DC/MD/VA most have them unless they live in an apartment. Just be careful. Basements come with their own set of problems, like flooding. And double check property tax before the move. I hope you get the home and the basement of your dreams.
