- In this video, I'll show you how I set up my palette for painting watercolor landscapes. I like to keep a few different palettes with certain colors to paint specific things. These are just my recommendations. Of course, you need to find the colors you love and that work for you. I'd love to know your favorite colors for painting landscapes! Let me know in the comments below.

I keep a pair of pliers among my art supplies for opening stubborn tubes too!
Those darn stubborn tubes! 😂 I really like Holbein and Daniel Smith paints because I never seem to have a problem with them.
Very cool tutorial. I have bought this same palette but wasn't sure how to set up the colors. And adding a swatch chart to it is a good idea. Thank you.
So fun! I’m glad it was helpful. I love setting up these palettes!
Thank you for this excellent tutorial. Not my idea, but I saw on another video that the person hot-glued a pan in one of the mixing areas for another color paint that wouldn't fit in the wells.
You’re welcome! And what a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
I have this pallette.
Thank you for putting together this video. I have the same palette but 30 different colors I use and fitting 18 of the ones I use the most for my landscapes is difficult.
Yes, it’s so difficult to narrow down the colors! And it does depend on what landscapes you like to paint. I love Southern Utah red rock so I used lots of colors to help me paint that scenery. Are you in Ireland?
@@britthartart I am located in the states but play Irish traditional reels and jigs on harmonica (aka mouth harp). I have yet to travel to Ireland but am inspired by its landscapes, people, culture, and music.
What is the pigment number of the Master's Touch Indigo please? Hobby Lobby seems to have what they have left in clearance, in tube.
Okay, I’m looking on the paint tube and there’s a number above the word Indigo that is RW322. I’m not quite sure if that’s the pigment number but just assuming that it is.
How are you enjoying your pallet so far?
I’m loving it, thanks! Can’t wait until the snow melts around here and I can take it hiking with me to paint landscapes.
@@britthartart I bought two of these . Really nice items
Please tell me if it is made of Plastik many greetings 😊😊
It is a plastic palette. But I wash it with a Magic Eraser before using it and it takes off the shiny coating so the paint doesn’t bead up. I have a link to it in the video description if you’re interested. Thanks!
