Ridiculous level. If they expected kids to complete this. Then there must have been a huge increase in new controller sales. Cause I've just lost 35 lives, and still can't make the last jump.
Agreed. I also think the flying levels are to hard as well. Especially for a kid lol. Died so many times and still didn’t complete it. So I just leave them 🤷♀️

This level really feels like when a creator spends so long making a puzzle that the answer is obvious for *THEM* but for everyone else it's extremely complicated or obscure to the point of questioning what the heck was going through the level designer's head at the time.
Most infuriating spyro level so far!!! Drove me insane and I got game over for the first time. Never would have worked out how to get to the hard to charge spots without this!!!

Took a thousand rewatches of this video studying your moves the first 500 times and then the map. Put in my first ever cheat code for the max lives and only 53 lives left but I finally got it. Finally.
the super charges and glides feel harder in this new version. I remember learning how to do these from a ps underground or demo disk back in the day and did not have this much trouble with it. Thanks for the refresher on the correct path. took about 20 tries but managed to do it again. feels good.
Thank you for this. I swear Spyro's speed is frame-rate dependent at times. I couldn't make that 2nd jump at 144fps and did it just fine at 60fps.

I knew it involves going up that ramp the wrong way, I just couldn’t see how to get there… glad people make videos like this, even if they fumble a few times in the process :p (as if no one‘s ever fumbled on this level 🤪)

Whoever came up with this level back in the 90s was a complete sociopath.
I was so happy when I got that second to last jump. And then that final jump was insane! On that second ramp jump (before the sharp right corner turns) I had to make sure I was jumping off at the top right corner of the ramp. Roughly 15 - 20 lives down later, we got it. Thank you for your guide!
I knew there was something off about this level the minute I loaded into it. Little did I know of the hell scape this bog would be. No wonder Spyro wants to leave the swamp.
a massive amount of thanks, and GAH DAYUM after finding out you had to do all those crazy ramps jumps iBe like "NAH YOU PLAYIN BRUH"
They've changed the ramps, now Spyro no longer jumps automatically when he reaches the peak of the ramps, unlike in the ps1.

When I first found out how to do the speed ramp jumps to get to the far off platforms, I was like: *How does anyone know how to do this on a whim*
I honestly don’t even remember how I figured it out when I was a kid lmao Completing games without Internet was such a different experience
the trick to make the jump everytime, is just to jump the millisecond youve passed the edge of the ramp.
as soon as I finished this level with 100% i stuck my middle finger at my Tv lmao. seriously fuck this level! had my hands all sweaty and shakey and shit XD.
Never played Spyro before, really been enjoying it all these years later-BUT THIS LEVEL. I never even considered chaining the supercharges/jumps like that. Thank you for the video. Died a few times forsure, but got it in the end. Thanks again. 🙏🏻

To get to the top of those tree tops, you need to go on two supercharge ramps. It took awhile to figure it out.
The compatible difficulty of this level to the rest combined is madness. They knew. They knew all along.

How did we as kids manage these hard ones... few times my parents helped me out haha. I guess back when I was playing PS1 Spyro there were no achievements you played to clock it not to trophy hunt
Even with no achievements back then, I remember grinding every level back then to make sure I got every gem. Always one of my favorites!

The most insane level couldn't figure it out the last dragon evey time i smashed it the ramp that leads me to the dragon i almost quit cuz it's so hard thanks i did it but dont know how and getting the gems above the home portal was also a pain

I'm trying to do the last jump, and I never get enough height from the second charge to get over to the one that you're supposed to run the wrong way up. I managed to make it over one time just barely and for some reason it broke my supercharge, like it was showing the pink but Spyro was just moving at a walking pace.

This is a very difficult level to beat. I can't stand it because I just can't get those last 2 dragons. They should've made it a bit easier to get through. I get it if they made the end harder, but dang. This scks.
I didnt play it but did they literally not change anything from the original? That last series of ramp jumps is a ridiculous thing to put in your kids game, how would you expect anyone let alone 7 years old to figure that out.
Had to do the last jump at 30fps easy, on 100fps my jumps just tanked lmao

I finally figured out why this jump seemed impossible, it LITERALLY IS impossible, if you play at a framerate higher than 60fps. You fall faster on 120FPS+, turning down to 60 literally made me jump farther. This PC port is beyond embarrassing, especially considering this isn't even the worst offender of game logic breaking under higher framerates.
Having trouble getting back to the one spot around 3:28 I'm so directionally challenged it's unreal

Im still stuck on the ramps... I have problems with my fine motor skills, so this is THE WORST part of the game, my body won't allow me at all to make the running...is there really no other way? Any tips for turning during the supercharge?
If you haven’t got it yet, try the d-pad the turns are much sharper
