      @@ivotenotocensorship5247 the D was only top 10 for 1 year. 2014. They were a good squad that got cheated in Dallas. Would have been great to see Suh and that all time great run defense vs legion of Boom in prime at the 12th man that year. O well.

      We do. We understand how both got to the situations we are now. I want Staff to do well in LA and it'll hurt each W he puts up. CJ just stopped wanting to be here and I get it but he has been throwing a little bit of a fit being so early into a monster deal, but I don't fault him from walking away.

      @@reupyourlife And you see how he did it-looking like it was just the easiest stroll in the park he’s ever taken. And having a blast playing again. Made me so happy to see even though meanwhile, we lost our game, a typical Lions mad scramble to come from behind at the end. And you KNOW Stafford would’ve easily been the difference. We had Stafford in there instead of Goff-he’s f#%kin pullin that game outta the fire & scorin that final drive, no question.
      Staff did everything he was asked & far more, & he never complained or badmouthed anyone or anything, not one single time. Even on his way out, he gets us tons of stockpiled draft picks to rebuild with. He just kept giving to the very end.
      He’ll always be a Detroiter & a Lion in my mind/heart, comin north to work in the Motor City like countless other southern boys. Now I just so want him to go win a ring w/ LA. Couple of em. I’m a crazy Rams fan now-they’re 100% my 2nd favorite team by far (love the Browns too-we need to do an exact copy of their rebuild. And now that Matthew’s ON a good team, the world is going to see how unbelievable he truly is.
      Nobody deserves it more in my eyes. Love that kid, always will.

    Its truly a blessing to have witnessed one of the most dynamic arms in history matched up with the most physically gifted WR ever, especially during the Linehan years. Stafford to Johnson is up there with Montana to Rice in my book.

    Seeing Calvin Johnson reminds me of a thought I had when Johnson retired. If I was a Lions fan I’d be upset with ownership. Got the Ford last name and two all time greats at their positions retire early (Sanders is arguably the goat at running back). Can’t be a coincidence. Wth is ownership doing?
    Don’t know anyone from Detroit personally so I’d appreciate an honest response from Lions fans

      No he did not. He was declining fast because of ankle,knee & finger problems. He never practiced anymore because of the knee & ankle problems. Lions were probably gonna cut him because of his pay was gonna be like $22 million.

    It’s kind of funny that Calvin Johnson was talking about how cool a coach Sean McVay is when you consider their shared history and the fact that McVay had to give Stafford permission to go to the Hall of Fame ceremony for the guy that McVay beat out for Georgia High School Player of the Year.

    The person and player Stafford is, is very apparent by comments by Detroit fans. Don’t think I’ve hardly seen if ever a negative comment about Stafford from Lions fans. All wish him the best and thank him for the years in the motor city. Guy deserves all the success in the world. And regardless of what anyone thinks. He’s a HOF in my book. The numbers he put up with hardly any running game and a paper bag for an offensive line are insane. There isn’t a qb who isn’t HOF caliber that could have did what he did in Detroit.

    Calvin was a physical specimen and maybe one of the most gifted athletes of all time. However he was not a competitor and never came up large when we needed him. Sure he went for 250 when we were down 35 in the 4th quarter. Check out Cooper Kupp and Stafford's work form this last game THAT is a proper receiver.

A lot of those passes where him just throwing it up. Stafford threw for over 5k once, and that was with CJ catching over 1600 yards. If he had played for ANY other franchise, he would of ended his career leading all categories for receivers

    We were life long DETROIT LIONS fans but after watching the way Detroit treated Matthew Stafford and their other Elite players, my wife and I simply no longer have the same feeling. We are now Matthew Stafford fans. We will be keeping a record. It's now Matthew Stafford 1-0 and Detroit Lions 0-1. Oh, and Matthew Stafford named Week 1 NFC Offensive Player of the Week !!!

      Well, I might say that the Lions didn't treat Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson the right way by, not giving them the same opportunity they gave to Stafford. Allowing him to go seek another team and winning situation. Interesting that, Barry and Calvin are black and Stafford is white! They wanted to OWN the black men "Play for us or retire" but, the white guy, "Sure Matthew, you deserve to go to a winning team"

    Everyone will see Stafford shine like the diamond he is! Was just a diamond in the rough with Detroit. As for Megatron, my best all time reciever. Always made big plays and got robbed by refs alot during career smh. Only thing i can say about him is that he needs to grow up and let the past go with Lions organization bs! If Barry could move on with his issues with Lions so can Calvin. HOF speech was basically a selling point for his Marijuana business wtf??? lol, still room for maturity but love em no matter what.

      You are correct. I loved watching Calvin Johnson catch the ball. Calvin was close to breaking a record and Matthew stopped throwing to him. CJ retired the same season. I have 0 respect for Matthew and the Rams will see that he is extremely self-centered.

    I hate to say it Stafford was apart of the derailing of Megatrons career...if his fingers weren't so messed up he'd been the first WR to 2,000 receiving yard's. I seen how many of those fastballs Megatron dropped in the game he broke Jerry Rice's record, and I know he would've eclipsed 2,000 in the same game.

    Detroit Lions is a terrible organization, ownership doesn't seem to care about winning, decade after decade not much improvement. It is so bad that Barry Sanders quit than Calvin Johnson and now Matthew Stafford wanted to be traded, just tried of losing all the time. I am surprised that they didn't screw him like they did Barry Sanders.
