Turk just spoke all facts, no limit wasn’t hot in our city!

  • @RidewithDEEbesttransportation

CM was hot in the city all round early mid 90s, unlv was and still is one of my fav rap groups out the south,..P left N.O and went to cali early 90s learnt the game and came back and took over and put NEW ORLEANS on to the world round mid 90s,but while he was gone CMR and Big Boy was holdin the city down, but imagine being local hot labels, and this nigga P just comes and takes the throne and blow the whole city up...it made alot of sour bad vibes wt the local scene..
So while CM was popular local,NL became more popular worldwide, and gave the world a taste of N.O to be honest
They the reasons CM got they deal wt universal..
So CM will always be more popular in the city because they was more around and seen daily...
But ill rather take over the world then just my own city..
    Thats my take on it..

Well Cash Money did both. Wayne ran the game and gave birth to literally every rapper to pick up a mic in the last 15 years and then they signed 2 of the biggest superstars in hiphop ever, Drake and Nicki. Much love to P but their run vs Cash Money's run isn't comparable.

Cash Money definitely got the longevity, arguably the greatest of all time in terms of relevance and longevity. They got a case against anybody. That being said that 96-99 run from No Limit is historic, I feel like it put a battery in Baby back to do what he did with CM. He saw P do it on another level and took notes.

No limit at there prime was in priority records, cash money at there prime was in universal records. They were never on the same major record label in there prime. Only when everybody left no limit an Master P started the New No Limit they was at universal records but by that time no limit wasnt the no limit we were used to they watered down by then everybody left but was still selling records. An cash money was on universal still when no limit got there but when no limit got there lil Wayne was by himself everybody left already thats the only time they were on the same major record label so that shit dont really count. P started no limit in California that's a fact. But he went back to new orleans an got everybody from home an took them to California to make music. Then ended up getting everybody rapper from new orleans an put them on no limit. They wasnt all on big boy. It was just mystikal an fiend. Everybody else was from different hoods an klc an Mia pretty much got people to come to no limit. But it wasnt like Master P didnt know about any of them though he heard who was buzzing an who was hot in new orleans. No limit got recognized world wide before cash money cash money was local. When no limit came back to new Orleans in the mid 90s everybody in new Orleans wanted to fuck with them though including cash money. So eventually no limit became big in new Orleans along with cash money. No limit put in that work outside of home but still had there new Orleans roots that's why when u think of no limit u gonna always think new Orleans an when u think of new Orleans u gonna think about no limit also, of course as well as cash money once they became nation wide
