- This is the music that plays during the main menu of Exit Path, a game developed by John Cooney at Armor Games. I created the music entirely in Propellerhead's Reason 4.
People have commented that it's the same as the music over the final level, so I've posted both to let you hear that they do sound similar and have the same chord progression, but are slightly different. The idea is that the main menu music would establish a theme that would be revisited when the player reaches the final level.

I still play this game for nostalgia reasons, and the soundtrack is great!
I didn't think the Exit Path 2 soundtrack could exceed my expectations, but the Judgement track melted my face!

This music made the game 10x better, I do not know if you'll ever end up reading this, but, on the off chance you do, I just wanted to thank you for being a part of my childhood and that you should seriously consider making more game music, or just music in general, and I hope you and your family are doing well in these trying times. (also, if you can, tell John to make an exit path 3 with multiplayer if he can, would make my life complete, but I realise that flash closed down, which sucks, regardless, though, thanks).
Man - Yes, I do read the comments (eventually) and I really appreciate the encouragement. It comes at a time when I've been questioning whether I should make more music and have been trying to be purposeful sitting down a few times a week just to start working on it. I don't have any games or projects I'm working on to point me in a particular direction so I'm just brainstorming here and there. Your encouragement is timely. I'm always thrilled to hear that people enjoyed the music. Exit Path (both of them) were really great games to work on, so John's creations provided 99% of the inspiration. I will pass your comment on to John as well.
@@chrisbranscome I cannot stress enough how dedicated you are, if I ever get the chance, I am recommending you to absolutely everyone, the fact that you replied to me after more than a decade since the game's initial release just shows how much you care, I hope you get your big chance soon, just don't lose hope.

Nostalgia hits hard, loved this game and loved the soundtrack
It's been a while since I played this game. I still remember attempting deathless runs and beating previous personal bests. Each and every single detail of every level is etched into my memory, and it's mostly due to the great music you made. Do you have any other works besides the Exit Path series? I'd love to listen to more of your music.
Your timing is uncanny. I've been thinking a lot - even praying - the past couple of days about whether or not I should make some non-game related music. Sounds like the answer is "yes." I really appreciate the compliment. It's always encouraging to know that your work is bringing some happy memories to people.
I've made several other soundtracks and I have some of them on my SoundCloud page (link at the end). If you ever played Coffee Shop, that was my work. Crush the Castle 2, Crush the Castle TD, Alt Shift (all from Armor Games). Three mobile games from the Electric Toy Company - Pixa, House of Shadows, and Doug Dug. Pixa is on SoundCloud, as is the soundtrack for another game in the Crush the Castle series that was put into production but ultimately never released. Stylistically, Alt Shift and Pixa are closest in style to Exit Path. The others are more orchestral.

This game has the best soundtrack for any online game EVER. It's amazing!

I first discovered Exit Path probably a decade ago and loved both the original and second game, but the soundtrack was one of the highlights of both games, and I recently rediscovered these songs on Spotify again. I'm loving going back and listening to all of these amazing tracks; especially the Judgement theme- something about that song is just so good and intense. Flash is gone but I found a way to keep playing this game and listen to this music. So much childhood memories.

i like the bass part. the only time people notice it is in the beginning. after the melody kicks in, nobody cares anymore. but i listen intently and noticed that its not just the same drone repetition. all your music has amazing musicality! its amazing! i should know, i play alto sax(:

@planoanimator Greetings! We're waiting on an intro animation that I'll be making some music for, but other than that, I'm done. In general, I feel pretty happy with most of the tracks, but it's always different when you see the music and the game together, and I haven't had that chance yet. Stylistically, three of the tracks are very different than EP1, and it'll be interesting to see if people like it.

I haven't uploaded anything from 2 because Armor wanted to sell the soundtrack. However, I just discovered last week that ALL of the music - from both 1 and 2 - is on Spotify!

@raptorwarpig Ha! That would be nice! I just get paid a one time fee for creating the music. If I was paid just 25 cents for each time the game's been played, I could retire! But I'm sure Armor Games doesn't even get 25 cents each time it gets played.

I was looking for this songs for some time, i was playing the game and left it open to be able to listen to the music :) I m verry happy now that ı found them :)
I have two questions: How do you create such songs ( any software of proffesional mixer) ? And is a pc enough for that purpose? I want to create such ambience - trance music like the ones in the flash games but i dunno where to start from; any suggestions?

If I were you, I would try to sell this music to a TV channel that will be showing the 2012 Olympic Games - as background music.

+Descension Reaper Sorry to burst your bubble (and mine) but there's not much money in this. You've got to do some music for the big names (Blizzard, EA, etc.) before you start making some real money. The deal that Armor Games made with me for selling the soundtrack was that it had to make a certain amount of money within a certain amount of time before they would pay me royalties. I don't remember how much it was, but it wasn't much. Didn't happen, alas. Still - I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Does anyone else think this sounds eerily similar to the track Medulla Oblongata from Fight Club? Seeing as the themes are similar, it's possible this was inspired by that track.

@s3m1psych0 Actually, I'd appreciate it if you could support me and Armor Games by legally purchasing the soundtrack. We musicians don't make much as it is. Less when people pirate. It's only $1/ track on iTunes, or a whole $5 for the whole thing on CDBaby.
