Makerfabs sent me this cute little 480x480 ESP32 based touch screen display. I am going to use this screen to create a touch panel for my home automation system.

FYI: stay away from animated interfaces when using an SPI display. (Or any low refresh display) It makes the UX feel really cheap and trashy.
Usually these displays support partial refresh, which only loads the data for the pixels that have changed. This method is extremely fast when the right UI design is used.
