Thanks Nelson for such a detailed video on Webflow limitations. I only have one question since a long time and I also did good research but I am not able to get a proper solution. How to send an email to a user after submitting an inquiry form on a website? Also I want to know if we can customize the emailer templates which goes to Admin and the User. Do you have any resources or any of your own video on this subject from which I can learn?

Hi Nelson, thanks for your great content - very thorough. I am wondering how long you think it will be, if ever, that software like Webflow supplants Web Development and completely shifts the direction of professional website creation. Is it wise, in your view, to study to become a front-end web developer (meaning front-end coding) at this point? Would it be better to mostly study and invest in other software, such as Webflow, instead? Would love to hear your thoughts - thanks.

just like any tech, it takes time. I don't know when it'll happen, but it will happen eventually.
Someone said the CMS limitation includes products variants. If you have a product with 2 variants ( size and color) then EACH size and color combination counts as 1… which could quickly reach the limit if not planned right from beginning.
Nice video, what about a member login area...can that be done in Webflow natively?
Any idea on how to build a sales dashboard with Webflow or how to integrate Grafana for example?
Super helpful to know for qualifying the use of Webflow. Request: can you do a video on Lottie animations in Webflow? e.g. best practices, gotchas, limitations, SEO, performance, etc...
Assuming there's more than meets the eye there. Creation and interaction is easy enough use, I'm curious if there's more nuance underlying their usage in general & in Webflow.

I've learned that anything above 10megs for a lottiefile makes the load time of the page long and could also impact the performance of the Webflow designer tool

This wasn't really what I expected but it's good to know this info. I was expecting more of like "what you can't do" with webflow, as opposed to the limitations of database rows, fields, etc. Coz I'm seeing all this stuff where you can do all these flashy animations in webflow and I'm like.. I wanna know what is the limit of what you can do.. what kind of stuff CAN'T you design with the UI, and can you actually write code to supplement so that you can do ANYTHING in webflow sites if you code it yourself. (i'm talking about like custom Javascript animations and such)
Thanks for watching :) Yes you can add fancy animations. Yes you can add custom code to help with fancy animations. People have been using GSAP custom code for text animations. For example: gsap-text-animator.webflow.io/

Well you are my hero and thanks for that BUT you didn’t tell us how to use webflow with 100000 records (airtable or integramat I assume??? And mostly I want to have a map pop up with the map markers and I can’t see how to put in the lat long with Webflow CMS ? Please can you do a tutorial with Google maps or 3 rd party stuff

Same here. Like pretty much all of us used Wordpress for a long time. But there's so much shit in this old system that i'm very glad that i switched to Webflow. For example i remember upping a table plugin to the newest version turned my header (where are no tables at all) blue. And since i used caching for SEO i didn't even notice that until weeks later. I have still no idea where that blue came from but it killed my design. Disabled the plugin and problem solved. That's Wordpress. With Webflow there is no more maintenance work anymore and that's a game changer for me.
@@dude861 I can relate and I agree. I haven’t left Wordpress yet (clients) but I have already learned some Webflow. So it’s happening!
Does the Workspace CORE plan include everything in the CMS site plan plus the capability to add up to 3 seats who can edit, design, publish the site?
What about a Shopify plugin for ecom on Webflow, is that a good combo or better than the ones you mentioned?

Bro can you help me... Im trying to make a horizontal scroll section that DOES NOT involve vertical scrolling. A button to trigger a horizontal scroll to overflow content in a section. is this possible??
what if you made a click trigger that makes a DIV move a horizontal direction? maybe that might help :)

At 13:06 you say that "you CAN'T sell" digital products but the proceed to show the option so sell downloadable files. So is that something different or CAN you sell digital products?

I don’t know but for eu citizen the biggest limitation is webflow is not 100% gdpr complaince yet. I know shield thing but things are extremely complexed around this regulation I am afraid
These prices are overwhelming and currently I can’t afford it. Man.
The advice about getting around the collection items limits by setting up individual projects and subdomains seems poor to me. Not only does that mean design inconsistencies can creep up, but I've always read that subdomains so not help with SEO.

The inability to select and edit a parent class in a combo class when working within specific breakpoints is a huge downside to me.
I find this problem to be super annoying and kinda discouraging as a new user since my hopinion is that it makes the whole process of designing kind of disruptive, since you have to plan early all the features of the parent classes in all the breakpoints because you're not going to be able to go back to edit them once you've created new combo classes.
The only way to do it would be to delete sub-classes in the combo-classes, edit the parent class and then create once again the sub-classes you deleted seconds before, making the whole process uselessly tedious.

Biggest limitation is having one global setting for all forms on your site. Just stupid.
