Find Free Public Domain Image Picryl

UPDATED PICRYL INFO:
It does look like they now want $ for the high resolution images if you are downloading directly from Picryl. I would still look for an image you like and then look at the size of the free version, often it is enough. If not, I paste the info about the image into Google and locate it elsewhere.

Here is another episode in how to find free images for journals and other art projects. These are images that free to download, in the public domain, and otherwise free of copyright restrictions.
Today's visit is to the humongous site that is PICRYL. A short and simple tutorial that will yield lots of fabulous graphics.

Picryl sends its spider crawly out to all the other sites gathering public domain images and brings them back to their own gigantic database with an easy to use interface.
