If you were not alive in this era , raised in late 70s , danced and rocked in the 80s&90s, saw the best best of the best live, bought their newest vinyls… I’m sorry , I wouldn’t trade my position where I’m at now, for anything. Incredible, surreal life experience that touches my heart and the bottom of my soul to near tears to have lived this life, in this era.
When I requested this song on my local radio station when it came out, the late night DJ played it at 2:00AM that night, and every night for 90 friggin days. The dancers were just as good on that tour. 😎 So was the band. LOL
This song started as a demo for a George Kooymans solo album, the group was collapsing, their previous couple of albums didn't do as well as was hoped outside of Holland, and so George was thinking about starting other projects and get into album-production. I believe their manager or another bandmember heard the demo and thought it should be a Golden Earring song. Just to have a final shot to have a big hit again. It became one of their biggest songs
