В институте, когда я учился, лет 40 назад - это называлось преобразователь Роера. Практическое применение весьма ограниченное и только для лампочки. Гений ты Наш.
@@DjekaKalashnikov На этой схеме этого не определишь - это зависит от соотношения сопротивлений, представленных на схеме и ёмкости p - n перехода транзисторов. На представленной в видео схеме все эти параметры не отражены и сказать о частоте схемы невозможно. Схема, по сути - структурная и в реальности ее не применить.
Ну а когда для лампочки и нужно то сойдёт. Кстати в ЖК телевизорах и сканерах с холоднокатодными лампами подсветки применяется тоже генератор Ройера, только там импульсный трансформатор.

You should show the waveforms, schematics, and talk about theory.
What you have is cross-coupled oscillator. It will stop oscillation if the load is large.
How about just the power source... LOL

yeahhhhh we had these dc to ac inverters on back of old cb sets that had tubes…and if you wanted to be mobile…actually many rigs for different services had these…however still a nice project

I need to see a schematic of that... - I used to use two transformers, one to step up and the other to step down, on the high voltage line to power a light bulb on my garden weather mast (I was aged about 11) ...trying to power the light over that length of cable using just 12v did not work...

Только для чего этот прибор нужен,проще лампочку на 12 вольт купить,тем более этот прибор больше 10 ти ватт и не выдаст.
Для более серьезной нагрузки нужны германиевые транзисторы типа ГТ806 с малым Uнас и внешний мультивибратор через разделительный трансформатор. Ну и выходной трансформатор на 200вт.
7:55 need to add some capacitance and a way to add a 50/60hz drive frequency, fine for lights, but terrible for digital electronics and things like chargers and possibly certain type of motors

Royer oscillator. Put a capacitor across the transformer primary coil (between the collectors) and you will get an almost pure sinusoid current with an ability to tune the frequency. As it is the frquency is spurious, the current is spiky and not suitable for many loads.
I built that circuit 50 years ago when light bulbs were not LED. Those 50 year old 2N3055 transistors need a very BIG heat sink for 60 watts. Your LED light is about 4 watts you probably need heat sink for continuous use. Where is your circuit drawing?

Yes - I built the same in the early 70's - The transistors will get VERY hot without a heatsink. These days its more efficient to just use 12v LED lamps.!!

Why also test the pinout of the second 2n3055 which is necessarily identical to the first?

by-the-by, - I never had much success prototyping with 2N3055's that were not on a heat sink...
There is a lot of schematics, who were invented since 60's..A lot of them, have been abandoned, because that don't run correctly..

I might be wrong, but I think you've got your emitter and base markings the wrong way around on your diagram.

Do NOT bend transistor outlets, you can broke glass isolators.
Do NOT solder wires to transistor case, otherwise you will not be able to attach heatsink.
Without heatsink these transistors handle 5...10 watt max.
Use capacitor between collectors to make sine wave at output, not square.
This schematic output frequency differs depending on load, on critical load this thing will stop oscillating and transistors will be burnt out. You need external oscillator, for example ne555.
Final yield of this schematic will be 20...30%, else will heat transistors, not more. Energy wasting thing as for me.

Maybe 4 - 7 watts, not more. If you want to get more you will need a bigger transformer and adding a heatsink for the transistors. The transformer will also getting hot and get into saturation. I guess you better don't use torroid transformers here because of the very high inrush current, transistors can be damaged then.
Where are the capacitors. I've never seen an oscillator without the capacitors. Give the circuit diagram.
Don't waste your time with this... It is just a very crude astable free running oscillator
Hi no you do not need capacitors as the base current is controlled by the transformer winding that is not conducting by the transformer action but what you may need is a capacitor across the 2 collectors to control the frequency by forming a parallel tuned circuit at 50 HZ with the transformer winding I have seen huge chokes put in the 12v power line to make it produce a better sine wave

Не переживайте, то, что показно в ролике больше подходит как объяснение принципа и демонстрация возможностей, но на деле при именно такой реализации обладает довольно незначительной применимостью просто в силу получаемой мощности. Лампу запитать ещё сойдёт, при том, что и от родных 12 в можно сделать напрямую такое же, без преобразователя, а на что-то более серьёзное (типа электроинструмента) такой схемы не хватит. А транзисторы всё же выкидывать не надо было, уж лучше продать или отдать людям интересующимся электроникой...
НУ И ДУРАК！Я СОБИРАЛ ЗАПЧАСТИ С 1970 ГОДА.

What is the frequency at the transformer
The transformer is a standard 50 or 60 hz unit. I think efficiency drops greatly as the oscillating frequency rises above that. Should be good thru audio range.
