Garia Mitali Sangha popularly known as Garia Nabadurga is one of the oldest Durga pujas in Kolkata. This year Garia Nabadurga is celebrating 84th Durga Puja with its unique cultural value and heritage. This year the wonderful idols will be created by artist Sanatan Rudra Pal son of the genius Mohonbanshi Rudra Pal, whose idols were the main attraction once in Garia Nabadurga.
Garia Nabadurga is well known for its Sabeki Protima and nine different manifestations and forms of Ma Durga and which has been a traditional identification of the culture and authenticity of Garia Naba Durga. The Durga Puja takes place in the ground of Barada Prasad High School near Garia Sitala Mandir. Now the nearest metro station is Kavi Nazrul and nearest train station is Garia. Garia Bhabatarini mandir is also a very famous place in Garia and also among the places to visit in Kolkata. I have shown you Garia Bhabatarini Mandir in a seperate video.
