You're right, even with Ran, Icejade is not up to par with meta decks; if they made creation both effects in one turn, that would be so much better. Also I like the Kaiju ver. You can search for field spell to search for kaiju and with creation going in and out of your gy, free counters and Kaiju banishes (omni) so power up the creation bonus. Generally by the time they get rid of the kaiju, they would have exhausted a lot of resources. Icejade plays defensively better, you just have to exhaust all their stuff. It's too slow for meta though, even if creation is somehow both effects in one turn. I keep one kingfisher in the deck for those that cannot be destroyed or banished

I thought it can't really be searched effectively also I wouldn't say it's bad against the meta it carried me to dlv18 in the october duelist cup, and with a 13 duel win streak, it outperformed my constructed lab deck in win ratio

Hey~~ I've been watching your icejade vids and I dunno if you take requests but I was wondering if the ice barrier archetype and icejades can work. I'm from the 5d's era and my knowledge is mainly from 5d's psp game, I just recently got a hang of xyz, pendulum and links, but back then I really liked the ice barriers.
I only use Icejade boss (Gymir Aegirine) in my Sword soul deck (their home are close is it fine) but since no swordsoul support so far, I might try mix these two
can't wait to put Rahn to good use, still missing some cards since i don't have enough UR points for some of the boss monsters but i crafted the 3 copies of Aegirine and got a regular, glossy and royal all in 1 go (which makes me slightly mad at the fact i also wasted several hundred sr points trying to get a royal icejade curse)
For now i think Icejade deck is good but need few tweeks to make it pure power!! btw you should try play around deep sea artisan because her effect is huge potential for icejade 😆
I have a icejade/kashtera an I have unfortunately found out that this combo has a tomahawk/halqifibrax line with the bridge being Prima Donna. The kashtera cards banish cards, Prima Donna un-banishes cards even if they are face down, un-banishing a card let's you summon an icejade card from the deck.
I play YGO in IRL (OCG), and I build icejade as soon as they came out, the art was just so beautiful. I tried frog paleozoic icejade back then, it was the most consist and stronger build I have out of all of the ones I tried besides tearlement icejade (which icejade engine didn't get's to shine in tearlement). But after frog got banned because of Spright, I really couldn't do anything to bring icejade back... I can only hope that Konami do something to get them playable.
@@hicooo Nah, I'm fine with that, I just want Konami to make icejade a bit more functional. Pure Icejade's play style is mid speed, basically reviving the LV3 loli to get more cards with the LV4s, and set up the field lock, but that's too slow... And bricks very easily. And even with the new syncro, most cards nowadays can by pass it very easily, so mixing other engine is needed, but doesn't seem to work well with anything for now(and by that I mean engine that can help setup Icejade). But still I thank you for continuing to play this deck.

Ran is their best card without a doubt, but VERY weak to MaxxC, Ran alone is 3 draws. Putting that aside, they're not strong enough; Tremora, Acti and Tinola all need retrains to be as good as Icejade Aegirine, the little one. Aegirine is still the MVP of the deck
I like icejade with tear. I feel like milling cards is very good for the deck plus the icejade cards can be used as fusion material.

@@ArcturusG that's actually the route I go, and yes, it is more susceptible to disruptions, it's actually better than normal summoning Aegirine.

With the current icejade, it makes it easier for me to use Ra, but unfortunately the consistency is lacking
I think the Lacking of consistency is bcs Ure trying to play lock-jade, its not worth it bcs 3 cards are needed.
