For me, the Olsens are the real style icons, simple and never flashy.
Maybe they look tired because they spent their childhood and teen years making 1/2 movies a year, travelling the world promoting and then moving on to fashion which is a draining industry. I think they look gorgeous and are sweet and smart girls
So true!!! If I had their busy life and schedule, i think I would be in a padded room right about now. They were raised in this industry since they were 6 months old and they haven't really stopped working since then. I admire them for it and I don't blame them if they look tired or if they have an off day.

genuinely happy for all the success they've had in their lives up to this point, but at 28 I wish they could enjoy it a little more. they seem so unhappy and tired. They must really love this business to put so much time and energy in it and not save any for themselves. Hope you girls make so much that eventually you can just retire to some beach or other venue, breath a sigh of relief, and just let it all go and be happy. :)

They were s*xually abused and expoited when young by many people and have moved on (once famously stating 'I wouldnt wish my childhood on anyone'.... guess everyone acts differently to lifes challenges. They have their mini empire and have foubd their feet. Be it weird or strange... what can you expect from being child victims. They're so fabulous, but something about the makeup/styling is aging them and not quite doing them justice.
Smoking, stress, their weight, their clothing, makeup, hairstyle, even their eyebrows have an influence I think. They're definitely beautiful, even with this image, but seems like they are trying to look much older on purpose and have a success in their trying.

No one ever mentions them abusing alcohol and drugs. I'm not saying I know for a fact that they're substance free but it's not right to automatically accuse such crap without evidence. They don't look old at all. They look exhausted and NATURAL. Imagine how exhausting it would be to work the way they do in fashion, coming straight from nonstop acting and travelling. The twins have been acting since 6 months old, they have a whole line of movies from when they were little to when they were about 19/20. They've been on the go more than any actor or actress today. And they do it well. As you know Marykate suffered an eating disorder that almost took her life. Something like that will cause permanent damage to your body and as a matter of fact, will cause your body to look physically older than you actually are. These girls do not cover themselves in makeup and hair products in order to suit the desire of the public eye. The arrogance of some people is just sickening.
