This method of germinating Lychee seeds will help you grow your own Lychee Tree at home. Litchi is a sub-tropical fruit and thrives best under moist sub-tropical climate. It usually prefers low elevation and can be grown up to an altitude of 800 m. (m.s.l.). Deep, well drained loamy soil, rich in organic matter and having pH in the range of 5.0 to 7.0 is ideal for the crop. 🌳

I just got 2 to germinate in water but then I did 20 seeds and not 1 has germinated!? Just don’t understand what I did wrong the following time.
Just put the seed in water for 3 or 4 days until it cracks then plant much easier

I guess sandy soil is perhaps best acidic soil for growing litchi plants as is mentioned in Google. I am also growing orange, lemon and apple seeds in one big container together

Make sure the seeds are in an airtight jar or bag, if you're using the tissue paper method.🌳
You may consider soaking the seeds in aspirin water for an hour before wrapping up in tissue paper.
I put mine on top of the router. It’s warm there and the seeds quickly germinated.

I managed to sprout a number of seeds and then transplant to pots, but the small plants developed brown tips on the leaves and eventually died :(
There maybe several reasons due to which your small plants died. It could be overwatering, fungus in soil etc.
Why you guys never write what you guys use ? Like what type of soil. Or the red liquid you guys give it to the plant. How do we know what you guys are using. All I know is the eggs water onions. What is the green one you guys put in the water or that red pinkish liquids one you guys used?

It is Lychee plant. Lychee seeds germinate quickly, taking only about ten days. However, you will have to wait at least five years before the tree produces fruit.🌳

Where do you store them and what was the substrate you planted them in?
After putting the seeds in a paper towel, put them anywhere indoors. Just keep them away from the sunlight. And i used cocopeat (coconut husk powder) for planting🌼

Don't worry, Keep adding fertilizer after every 10 days and if the pot is small transfer the plant into bigger pot and make sure the soil is not too slushy nor too hard. Keep the soil moisten at all times for Lychee plants and they need full sun to increase their growth.

Did you leave them in direct sun?
I set them outside, but not where direct sunlight will fall on them. Nights here are not cold, so seedlings can stay out overnight. After a couple of days, gradually introduce direct sunlight🌞🌱
Why only morning sunshine?
Because in summers, morning sunshine is best for younger plants.🌳
