- Ukhrul celebrates United Nations' International Youth Day under the theme "Safe Spaces for Youth", 2018.
Vibrant and Energetic youths of Ukhrul thronged the street to celebrate the United Nations' International Youth Day, 2018 under the theme 'Safe Spaces for Youth'. The Youth Parade, first of it's kind in Ukhrul town, is a joint initiative of URA Trust and IGSSS, and promoted by various other organisations and entrepreneurs listed below :

Hundreds of Jubilant youths participated the parade, showcasing their distinct talent through various art and performance. From face painting to waving flags and shouting out for change, instilling positive vibe as they dance and paraded the street that witnessed awestruck denizens. A pleasant surprise awaited the youths as Sir Alfred Arthur, MLA of Ukhrul Constituency, crashed the event with a powerful and encouraging speech followed by performing the Rolling Stones' all time hit "Dead Flowers". The evening came to life as various artists, dancers, rock bands and comedians took to stage before wrapping up with Youths' Dream Speech, mass signature campaign and joint Memorandum submission to Shri Alfred Arthur, MLA 44A/C, for construction of park with open air amphitheatre easily accessible to all.
Kudos to organisers, sponsors and all participants who made the day worth every step. Until next year, Godspeed! - Hudba
