- The kick starter on this 2012 Honda Ruckus 50cc scooter had not been used in years, and wouldn't budge. Watch this video to see how I got it unstuck and working great.

Hello! Thanks for the helpful video. My ruckus kickstarter works but i feel a lot of resistance when I kick it. And time to time it will kinda stop mid kick. Havent opened it up and cleaned it yet. But mind if I ask what kind spray you were using to clean the parts? Idk much about mechanics so I always assumed WD40 but Im pretty sure I need some special type of cleaner spray for this
It was Thoroughly enjoyable watching you take off the cvt cover and lmao when you got the wife on the video, but the video was very good, im going to have to re look at mine cause it's so hard to push, oh BTW wasn't that a k&N filter you took out, just needs cleaning and put back in.

My kickstart will work but it comes up and grinds when it’s on and I have to hold it going parallel to the ground if not it goes up

My bro... you need to invest heavily in cans of brakleen you would have been done a long time sooner if you had some. Also do yourself a favor and make sure when you buy it you get the non-chlorinated version.

I put in a new filter. I don't knowing anything about different types of filters.
Could I also take the washer off the variator at the same time? Lol
