Same here, I forgot about what I was trying to watch. I knew that some people would be upset over this even though it's not supposed to be taken too seriously. This couple need their own CZcams channel.

what are you on about she gets agitated at so many of his answers and gaslights him or puts words in his mouth before spouting off a rehearsed answer she heard in her feminist studies class.

@@Hello_there_obi lighten up. They are playing. Some men like strong women, that does not make her a bad feminist or him any lesser. I'm used to strong women in my family, we had to step up at times. What were we supposed to do ? Sink ? A strong woman does not make you a bad woman. In my experience the meek playing needy ones can be cunning and manipulative, not all again of course. There's the 1st mistake, judging the book by her cover 🕊️

@@clarebennett7946 strong women dont assume bad intentions from someone who is clearly displaying good ones. Katherine ryan isnt strong. She’s emotionally insensitive and conceited. She’s manipulating her partner by straw manning him and making him feel bad about an action which is coming purely from a good place and isn’t offensive at all.
Don’t confuse conceited, snarky third wave feminist who loves to bash on men with a strong woman. Two very different things.

I personally have never been offended by a gentleman offering their seat to me. I have much respect for people who offer their seats for pregnant women, children, elderly people and generally anyone who may need a seat e.g. someone using crutches. I bring up my boys to give up their seats. And I give up my seat.
I also would call my daughter beautiful if I had one. I think if more women were told they were told they were beautiful as they were growing up, they wouldn't look for so much validation outside of themselves when they were older. I would also validate them in all aspects, as i do with my boys. You are clever, you are kind, you are beautiful/handsome.
Not all feminist agree and that's OK :)

Hi Cherelle, thanks for your comment. We agree that it's a complex topic and lots of people have different opinions! It's so lovely to hear that you believe in giving people compliments irrespective of gender - that's definitely something that everyone can benefit from. 😀 It's really good to talk about these things with our friends and families because there's such a wide range of perspectives out there. By talking about it, we can all learn from each other.

My parents would have whooped my ass if i kept a seat when an adult was standing haha come to Texas and we are all standing because we refuse to take a seat from someone else. Southern hospitality at its finest.

This is something I like about German, they would talk about “Mein Schatz“ … “ my treasure” rather than describing a child as beautiful or handsome.

This is an important topic that I feel wasn't explored well. I'm sure they are lovely people, but she seemed to steam roll him in a lecture. I think he could've explored his thoughts more. There was an air of 'white feminism' that wasn't addressed too. I think that's the kind of humble self awareness that this video needed. Peace and love

you absolutely nailed it. You put words to my feelings on it perfectly. Sadly, judging by the like to dislike ratio, I think this approach did more harm than good in terms of promoting both feminism and allyship.

This one was okay, preferred the other two videos. I feel like if she doesn't like the answers she gets a bit intense or she talks over him. Whereas the other two videos there was no intensity and it was all very chill and accepting that sometimes people get the answers wrong.

I love Katherine Ryan’s comedy and podcast and I really liked that video. People who are so triggered by this are just funny 😄 But I have a point about the giving up your seat - I still remember how once the train was full when I entered and I had excruciating period pain and one dude (obviously without knowing it) stood up and let me sit. Sometimes women can be on their period, they can be in early pregnancy, they could have been through a miscarriage and so on. So I think it’s really polite when men offer their seat and if you feel fine, you can just say - “I’m good, thanks”.

Quell Surprise! I saw this as an ad on another video and masochistically decided to come here and read comments. So many 4 inch cocks tearing up, so many pelted dogs at the mere sight of a man who is not suffering and making suffer like them :')
Anyway, I thought this was a gracefully done discussion, regardless of whether you agree or disagree with them.

What the hell? Why was it necessary to body shame men based on penis size, that's like a massive sexist trope that only people with pea sized brains can muster up. Also fuck me, this man is suffering! He can barely get a sentence out and basically just nods to everything she said. That isn't equality, that's just silencing mens voices because you think women know better.

Loved the episode with Clara Amfo. Here Katherine Ryan and hubby BK have imo their work cut out for them.
Oh boy where to start? I applaud the effort and the guts to take on these topics, the problem is we’re living in a period of fashion as much as liberation, and a lot of these concepts of feminism are flash-in-the-pan fashions which will collide with reality. They are based on just wishing for it to be so: that women will have no inherent flaws if they are just given the room, and the equality of all things will stand then to reason as the natural dynamic to all who have eyes to see.
It will be a good experiment and I’m up for it. I don’t think it can be sustained, however, as I don’t think it’s so. Because men and women are different, with different strengths. I’ll say the unfashionable: women can be very funny, there are fewer very funny women than very funny men, however.
Maybe it is nurture not nature, so let’s do this experiment, and hopefully prove me wrong.
Edit: personally I agree, we’ve got to stop viewing beauty like the most coveted female attribute. Disagree that sexist jokes are remotely funny, ever, we should stop laughing at them.
Crazy world: women want to be seen as beautiful and shown courtesy and respect, just don’t tell them they’re beautiful or give them your seat, hold a door etc.. or look at them for that matter.
The modern male answer: stop having anything romantic to do with women, ever..

Please don't bring up your sons to be feminists, just bring then up right ffs. She is so obnoxious and doesn't let him talk at all. This was hard to watch and I honestly feel horrible that this is what he feels is normal. Feminism is a silly lable and it's movement has dome more damage than good.
