what’s this ep called ?
lol how you gonna disable a tail light while being kidnapped
@@andrewmakenziyou can take the literal light bulb out the taillight if your laying in the trunk, and in this case especially if you were taught how to do it.
Even though this is a movie clip. It does happen in the real. Yes he was a smart suspect. But he failed to realize the victim did something to attract attention to her. A very wise girl!
Thanks for sharing ❤
It's a show clip..
@@Ahoudini3221 that's not the point of my comment. What you fail to realize and comprehend. Otherwise you wouldn't have said what you said.😔
@@Coleclassicmovies thank you for the heart. Right back at you ❤️
No he pointed it out at the end he is the girls dad..
Actually, that's pretty good advice. Car with broken tail light is more likely to be pulled over because of that. And once you can disable a tail light from a trunk - you definitely can make some noise when officer come close to the car.
EDIT: I WASN'T SAYING IT WILL 100% WORK. All what it means - disabling a tail light just increase your chances for a traffic stop from zero, to any amount of cop's curiosity. You gave them a legal reason to stop you just so they could notify you that your car is not ok and should be checked
More likely never. I work night shifts. Every time i drive to work at 2am theres always people with bad tail lights, head lights and no lights at all all the time.
@@MrMrsKwang at least you gave the cops a legal reason to stop your car. That's more than nothing
If you're in the trunk you can usually pull a latch to open it from the inside.
Edit because enough of y'all mentioned removing that latch for me to Google it: it's often connected to the cable that opens the trunk from the driver's seat. That cable can be pulled, triggering the trunk to open anyway, without the latch. Removing the cable makes it hard to open the trunk again even from the outside, especially if the trunk doesn't have a keyhole. So, yeah, getting an old car without a latch, sure, that'd do it, as long as you can't pop out the taillights either, but removing every part that lets you open it from inside isn't viable.
@@justadogonachair6197unless they’re very tightly bound up and they wouldn’t be able to find it right away. But kicking it is still recommended just because the car could be moving when you open it and you wouldn’t want to get out but it’s all situational basis
@@andyrendon7753 well yeah, for sure situational, but driving with an open trunk and someone tied up in the back looks really suspicious, you know?

A lot of people (and cops) don’t know that Uber/Lyft have law enforcement emergency lines. Cops can call, the ride share will disable the drivers ability to accept anymore rides and are contacted to await law enforcement contact. Cops are then given the entire ride data via email. And the driver’s GPS / current cell ping - all without a warrant. No wait time. No delay. If your family member is missing after a ride call your local PD/SO or State Police dispatch and advise them that they were last seen by the driver. Cops should have those numbers saved in their phones. Helped me tons. Fortunately, my “lost” girl was just passed out in the bushes outside her apartment. 🤙

Better yet, if you are ever in the trunk disable BOTH tail lights! As a matter of fact that should be automatically considered an SOS/possible kidnapping if any vehicle ever has both tail lights off by default!
Kids should lea4n this in drivers ed
Only downside to that is the car behind could hit the car you’re in and since you’re in the point of impact… could be bad.

When the bad guy said “Of course” , I knew he did it!

For me it was when he said "sorry I couldn't be more help, guys.'
Because the producers made the actors act suspicious so the viewers get engaged with the film/TV show. Or did you think you were really smart? Because you are not, sorry.
so this guy told his daughter "if ever you get kidnapped and you're in the trunk disable the tail light", then that scenario actually played out and he happens to be the cop investigating his own daughters disappearance?

Paragraph guy here:
Grey and his wife are visiting their daughter in New York, but become suspicious when she doesn't meet them as originally planned. They alert the NYPD, who decide to wait despite sharing their worries. The couple decide to investigate themselves and discover that Dominique hung out with new friends before possibly being abducted. After questioning an Uber driver, Grey notices a broken taillight, remembering a strategy he taught her. They follow the car to a new location and fight off her abductors before freeing her and the NYPD coming to their aid. In Los Angeles, Nolan and Juarez apprehend Ryan Davis who robbed a bank. However after placing him in a cell, a fight breaks out and spreads to other inmates before reinforcements led by Bradford arrive and aid in dousing the onslaught. Davis is hospitalised and dies shortly afterwards, putting Juarez under investigation. Nolan stands by her side during questioning by Chris and Wesley. Autopsy results later reveals that Juarez didn't contribute to Davis's death and that despite his health issues, the injuries were inflicted during the inmate onslaught while Bradford, Chen and Thorsen search for a missing baby who is eventually alive in a motel. Chen officially breaks up with Chris, which he disappointingly accepts. Nolan assist Bradford's sister in looking for a lucky charm bracelet of hers, which they discover was thrown in the trash by her son Tyler.

And it’s amazing.
This sergeant is a great actor. I used to watch him in Judging Amy.
Disabling tail lights on modern cars won't work as there'll be sensors informing the driver there is a light out. Hell even an old car from 2004 I use to drive had these sensors.
Well this isn’t a modern car and it’s a show.
The Uber actor is the best guy to look like a villain, he just has that vibe. Like in the show "Lucifer" automatically makes you think he's bad news

It's an uber . They go through inspections . They can't just go around with broken tail lights
Yes. There are Uber drivers with broken bumpers and cracked windows .
Things take time.
Circumstantial evidence, enough at least for an investigation
@amitisbahrami9959 just wait till you find out how many uber drivers drive without a license on them
I'm confused if she was taken by Uber, Lyft, how did she disable tail light
LOL
He kidnapped her obviously. So she was kept in the trunk.
This was a good episode. Glad her parents took action in finding her.
It could also just be that that guy actually has a tail light broken on a beat up old car like that and a guy who works driving that car it is much more sense to think it’s actully just broken the suspect some random guy that he kidnapped someone off a broken tail light … do you know ow how many people have broken tail lights
na uber cars have to go through inspections once every other month
Its a tv show big guy relax
It’s also illegal to have a broken tail light. Another reason why he also payed notice to it. Not just because of what he told his daughter to do but also.
@@grimreapersbrotherdave2392 uhm no they dont i was an uber driver for awhile and they only require your regular annual inspection reports? Well besides the first one you have to get before you start.
He's not some random guy, he was the last person known to have been in contact with the victim
Having a tail light out is circumstantial at best and wouldn't be considered probable cause.
idk anything about law but speaking strictly logically this is pretty good evidence.
its both a prediction and an event establishing high probability on its own too.
The idea is that a cop doing his duty will pull the car over for no brake light or whatever. When stopped and the cop walks up you get no noisey in the trunk.
Circumstantial evidence is enough to establish probable cause. Having rope, duct tape, blood on his hands can be explained away too but couple it with the fact he was the last to see a missing person and knowledge that he taught the girl to disable a tail light when taken is more than enough to make him a prime suspect and get a search warrant and make a prime suspect
it may be circumstantial
but considering the circumstances, which is exactly where that kind of evidence comes in, it would be enough to follow up on the lead bc of what he had taught her
It’s a good clue, the aim is to rescue the girl before she got killed. They’re not officially in the jurisdiction so they can do what they like and if they found the girl in the trunk a broken tail light is the last of the culprit’s worries that I can promise you.
Probable cause my arse…is that a new term you just learned and need to use? 😒
Who else watched this and went and rewatch this episode?

That’s only like 1/4 of ALL cars that actually have access to the taillights that easily.

It's so sad cops do a better job in movies or TV shows then they do in real life
Tbf generally everyone does better a job in the movies or TV than real life. Doctors, lawyers, detectives, hell even middle aged chemistry teachers battling Stage 3 lung cancer do better on TV.
It’s a show ❤
Be a cop then
This has to be one of the worst takes I've seen in a while. "The Cops on TV who do multiple takes and have perfectly written scripts for them do a better job than police in real life who have to re-act in high pressure situations in a split second. outrageous!"
These same "TV Cops" also make INSANE blunders that would either get them fired or charged all the damn time.
its scripted how is it sad it would be sad if they didn't
My daughter took photo of the driver and posted it to us, then told the driver, I've sent your photo to my dad, I had better get home safe, or he will hunt you down..he has your picture!!... she always made it home safe!😊

Sadly nowadays modern cars u cant access the socket or the bulb from inside the trunk, u have to physically remove the tail lights to access the socket or bulbtl.
You can pull at wiring and from inside you can tell if the light went out or not

Abductor could probably have removed it before committing the crime. If you’re going to shove people in your trunk, wouldn’t you disable the release.

Everybody gangsta until you piss off a witness because he had a broken tail light.
Disable the tail light, that's excellent advice.

Would you work for $2.10 an hour ?
Do u know the slightest bit about cars
Bro about to catch a false imprisonment lawsuit real quick
No he called in a detective..
I guess if she was in the trunk and she had a pair of pliers and or screwdriver she couldve disabled a taillight.....
i liked dominik she was an alright character but wade caring so much was so heartwarming
And how the fuck do you disable a tailight, let alone without the driver finding out
If you're in the trunk, peel back whatever is there, and unplug the light.
If you know just a little bit about cars it is actually quite simple.
I would think that a good idea might be that if you can peel off the back of the taillight to unplug it, you could unplug, then plug, then unplug, then plug, which might act as a signal.
If you disable both taillights it's only a matter of time until another driver pops the trunk for you.
Who writes this incredible nonsense?
Imagine if he just parked there a little longer till they left.
