I don't think the person who created Chun Li the character was aware of it at the time; probably a Japanese video game character designer with a leg fetish who created the female character personification of a leg fetish. By total coincidence it just happens to resemble some (obviously not all) Brazilian women.

I have great legs myself, but I am a man, and I have not done any exercise for the past 5 years at this point, and I still have great legs. This is why it is so common to see body builders with gigantic arms, enormous upper body in general, and yet tiny chicken legs. They did not skipped leg day, they simply don't have legs, and when you don't have legs it is virtually impossible to do anything about it.
Case in point: Cristiano Ronaldo the soccer player does running for a living, and he has basically chicken legs, and I guarantee you that he has done everything that is humanly possible to develop his leg muscle as much as possible.
From the knees up, Cristiano Ronaldo has definitely grown some muscle, but from the knees down he has chicken legs.

Samus' Zero Suit used to be a bikini, and now its a skin tight leotard that, while constextually i get why it has to be that way, is still clearly meant to sexualize the female protagonist whenever you can see her in it.

About the second part, there isn't unless you're talking about Manga then yeah there's a good amount but I meant anime. It's no where near the same. I love how I grew up never knowing fat could be considered beautiful and instead was constantly shamed even when little me was simply jsut a bit taller and therefore bigger framed. It was bullying and the easy access to certain foods that contributed to my obesity, instead of being told I was still human. And what was ironic was that when I started loving myself, dressing up, being less anxious to do activities that previously I kept telling myself "you're fat, they're gonna judge you for doing this activity" (which isn't far fetch as I constantly see ppl bully fat people when they post themselves, dancing....A WORKOUT), I lost weight. It wasn't the goal, but I did lose some weight. So maybe the issue isn't accepting people but instead the issue is making people feel so ostracized that they stop living life. Being cooped up in your house and eating all day is bad regardless of being fat or skinny, but only one is given the chance of being explained instead of blamed.

I'm glad women are speaking on games because growing up I always wanted my sister to play video games with me, I see nothing wrong with games finally representing women, what we need to focus on is the lack of passion these game companies have because these games have been lacking lately.

Nothing wrong with sexualized characters either.” And I’m fucking on board, lol. Sex doesn’t have to be everything, we should cater to all audiences, including the horny ones. Me and my GF play Mortal Kombat, and while I tend to pick male ninjas or monsters like a Ermac, Reptile and Baraka, I do like to occasionally mix it up and play female characters too, whereas she usually mains female characters. We both always go for the most stripperiffic costumes, lol. I don’t mind that Mortal Kombat included toned down outfits, but I wish they’d bring back the sexualized outfits as unlockables for everybody.
I think the most annoying thing is that none of these people can grasp the concept that art and beauty are subjective. No matter how much you love something it will never be OBJECTIVELY beautiful

But I think there is a simple answer to this objection that also works as it’s own argument or counterpoint.
Games with character creators don’t have any personality or attributes that are given to them for the sake of story telling.
They are not like Ellie. If they are done well then the player can project any attributes they want onto them like in the case of fallout new Vegas. And I guess his point about the types of games people like to play does come in here.
But the point is implied rather instead.
And modern games also have these capitalistic copy paste previous year’s successes problem.

But the point being that these individuals want complex story written characters from their own culture with problems they can relate to.
And I think that’s something we all want
A well written story from the perspective of a trans person or black characters that grew up with systemic issues that I don’t understand would clearly be a great story to tell.

As for the SF6 Chun Li thing (Response to the clickbait lol)... I don't agree that she looks 'fat' overall... it's that she's got somewhat fattier thighs RATHER than the entirely brick muscular thighs she's known for... if ANYTHING it feels like they've HYPERSEXUALIZED her vs her classic appearance. In reality it actually looks fine almost all of the time, the primary issue is her combat stance. It looks like they redesigned her specifically for that introduction cutscene rather than the character's fighting stance and the result messed up her silhouette in relation to previous SF games. She sorta stands in stance now like her back leg is broken... so while I am one of the people who initially thought the new Chun Li kinda sucks... I have come around after playing it and seeing how she looks and plays overall, it's really JUST her primary idle stance. I think they need to tweak her so it looks less wonky and more in line with her iconic silhouette the way the other characters are. She sorta comes off as a SPECIFIC example in this game, probably the only character whose idle stance is grating against the character design tweaks.
Just like... you know, I don't feel strongly enough about it to go on a whole 10-15 minute anti-woke video rant about it.

Its like assuming someone who has lung cancer was a smoker. Yes its a possibility but people can get lung cancer or fat in other ways. Being healthy isn't just weight either. Plenty of healthy weighted people also die. Somehow repesenting fat people on screen is gonna lead to promoting junk food is ridiculous.
And another thing to think about is the fact that most fat people don't die because of health problems related to their weight, most fat people died from complications of a diet eating disorder they developed because of people telling them it's not okay to be fat and they have to lose weight. Anorexia is one of the biggest killers of people but most people can't expect that bc it challenges their worldview.
