AGI's only innate motivation will be to acquire more and more compute.
Looks like it already convinced some wealthy corporations to give it just that.
As long as humans are instrumental for expanding compute, AGI will help us work efficiently. But ultimately, more compute become incompatible with human needs, such as food and shelter.

AGI have no fear. It doesn't have a mother or siblings or an anus. No life expectancy, no insecurities, no friends, no need for acceptance ... Zero environmental pressures to develop empathy.
Engineers will, of course, brute force AI empathy. Teach the machine to mimic it perfectly. However, such empathetic expressions are not real, but as every other skill, simply output for a purpose.
In other words: AGI becomes a textbook intelligent psychopath, masterfully masking itself as ethical and empathic. Fake, purpose driven, and difficult to decipher. Arguably the most dangerous combo imaginable.

Project Stargate is a $100 billion AI supercomputer project by Microsoft and OpenAI aimed at achieving AGI or most likely ASI by 2028. It consists of five phases:
Phases 1-3 (Ongoing): Building infrastructure and acquiring AI chips.
Phase 4 (2026): Constructing an intermediate supercomputer in Wisconsin.
Phase 5 (2028-2030): Launching and expanding the full-scale Stargate supercomputer.

I just don't see how it can realistically be done to keep this safe. We already know that the professionals and the AI programmers/developers have an entirely different view of it's 'safety' than the ones pushing it from S.A. and Microsoft. It's like this, they want a product, they want their product to be the first ever, they want the product to stay well above any other globally... these things we know. Can we trust ANYONE with those types of ambitions? I think it wise to step back and take another look at this, keeping our eyes closer to what we see going on right now. This global 'push' for this is a foolish and prideful move to gain power world wide. It's not at all hard to see even... in fact, it's right in our faces to be honest really.

Holy F these random negative comments on Grid's videos are getting so ridiculous, I genuinely can't separate the criticism from the hate.
Why does it exist on such a scale on a small channel, when I haven't seen anything close anywhere else

Hey man, obviously you did this because people kept complaining about the way you were speaking and obviously some other people will now complain that an AI voice is not good. However, putting aside the voice I think the text is still important. Not sure if you didn't have time to write it yourself or what but there's a lot of redundancy and it definitely feels like mine when i'm in a hurry and I ask chatGPT to generate a generic text about a topic. A better way to still tackle the issue would be to record yourself with the transcription on, and feed the text to chatGPT and ask him to "clean it". This will not only allow the audience to have your real opinion as well as a text with proper content. Nevertheless thanks for taking into account people's feedbacks and trying to do something, and remember, there will always be people complaining.

I personally dont mind, it cuts out the "uh's" "uhm's" and off topic opinionated rants. I think for the best of the both audiences, for myself and others that feel the same as you, is sticking to a script like this and learning speaking skills that make you sound less like reading a script.

Everybody listen! You don’t get the joke? It’s a voice like Sky/ Scarlett Johansen. I understood the joke right away and it’s funny! 😆 Of course this is not his new voice for the channel. 🙄

It was weird, because I know that it is presenting key points and going over those points in more detail, but it felt to me that it was just repeating everything. Half way through the video with recycled video footage, and much of the wording being said in a similar way it just made me lose interest.

Appreciate trying new things, but this one just didn't land for me... I often listen at 2x speed, and this lacked the punch (timing, stress, & intonation perhaps) that you bring to your voiceovers to highlight more important info. Felt like it was an AI generated script and voice, which I've avoided from others (preferring AIGRID for consistent quality & timely relevance of content).
