I just received my order of 1300 glad bulbs from LM Bolle and Son, and I'm extra excited about them being in a #3 size, which is smaller then I've ever grown before. Here on the farm, we grow gladiolus in a little bit of a different way - by stagger planting them in crates throughout the season. Check out all the exciting new varieties im trying this year!

I am missing the old/ previous years type of videos. Life and work on the farm and selling at the farm market.
I miss Ian!
Folks, I’m just speculating here, but youtube burnout is very common and almost inevitable among youtubers. If Serena and Ian need to take a step back for a while and focus more on their farm and family, we should support this and respect their privacy. Taking a break is a good and healthy thing.
Yes, this. The pressure on here seems immense..I know people have good intentions but it comes across as not being very understanding of real life.
Yes, taking time off for family and to reset is important, but just let us know, we'll support you! That would be better then viewers unsubscribing when the content they came for doesn't appear.
nobody's has asked but I'll type what I think. The plan was to reach business sustainability within five years or quit. If they didn't quite reach the business goals, mayhaps they're winding the business venture down. Can't be emotionally easy in any case
❤❤❤ seriously ❤❤❤ these are people not actors. We all grow and change just like the seasons are gardens live in.
Thank you. I was sad to see these comments, you saved it. I am happy to see a happy farmer!
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO! I’ll take any video from you guys! I know it’s different but I still appreciate the HARD WORK you do to put these out ❤
Sure miss the market and front flower stand. Definitely miss seeing the bouquets. Hope you get back to those soon!
Hi Serena, gosh I really miss the old videos with you Ian kids and the cats. I use to love seeing all the flowers selling out the front and sharing with every one how much money you made that day, love to you all
200$ for 1300 glads sounds like an amazing deal! Good on you for not buying the entire store 😂
We haven't had a farm tour in a long time. Hopefully we'll see more of you again soon and what's going on in terms of flowers.
Will you be posting Market update videos soon? Those are the best ones to watch for us non-flower growing, fellow Canadians. Enjoy watching your success in a small market.
Miss the market show
Miss seeing lan and kids too. I love to watch your flowers videos.
And the cats!
so nice to see you miss seeing the farm tours and selling at the market
I'm a city gardener with a small backyard/indoor set up. I planted 50 glads, mostly in containers, at the very end of spring. They all started popping up and the next thing I knew I was ordering more. I had totally forgot about that because I spent a week volunteering as a camp counselor. Imagine how I felt when I came home exhausted from camp to 125 "surprise" glad bulbs! I've been slowly putting them into the ground and I'm excited for what's to come.
❤❤❤ The farm looks so tidy!
I enjoy these videos about your plans and thought processes!
I miss your show making the bouquets lots of lots of beautiful flowers I hope you're going to show that soon.
It's been quite an odd spring this year and the flowers are late blooming! I'm looking forward to all the clip-clip-clipping too 🌻
Hope you have a fantastic day thanks for posting. It's great to see you enjoying your farm
❤❤❤❤❤Missed you.❤❤❤❤❤❤
They are my very favorite flower....just my 1st 2 blooms and they are apricot....lovely
These gladiolus are going to be so beautiful! Love that soft pink!
So many varieties, so exciting. Thank you for sharing
Looks like Big Foot has been tripping through the bed behind you!
thank you! 🪴
I miss the farm life/ selling vlogs! Hopefully youll do more soon
Thank you for such a wonderful and informative video. Would love to see how you work those fun colors into bouquets for your farm stand. Congrats on getting family time and farm work done, it looks terrific! 💚💐
Love me some glads!
Beautiful! Would love to hear updates about selling to florists and how things are going!
Please please make some market videos and the stand update videos.
I watched this channel to study market farming, the content just isn’t there anymore. No more story, no more editing, no more Ian. Ian was the one who edited and made the videos a consumable story with great footage.
That orange/white Stormy will be nice for autumn bouquets!
That Belvedere could be a raspberry pink with white variegation in the throat that looks like you will like it!
Love glads , they flops over in my garden must stake them but boy are they so beautiful ❤❤
Ja, i Miss also the old Video. Like harvesting Flowers and making Bouquet. It is now boring. Talking about sort of Flowers she buy. And i didnt See the Video of Mother's Day Special.. Market's Day and many more..
Entitled
A bit
@@EeeEee-bm5gxI miss the old videos too. 😢
Cant wait to see alfalfa bloom,
It's good to see you back on here Serena! I hope you all are doing alright. ❤
Where are you guys? I’d not seen you in my feed since last year so had to come looking for you and surprised you’ve stopped putting out weekly videos and live vids. I mean,.. not here to pressure but just wanted to say hope you’re doing ok. We’re all invested in you guys as people as much as the farm. So strange there’s no ‘hey, we’re so busy, we’re changing what we do on the channel’ explainer
Как много, супер!
At least this year the fire hazard isn't as high. How did your neighbour do with the cherries. From news here on the coast they're reporting huge damage from that really cold snap. Wineries are scrambling, some fruit farmers are cutting down a lot of their orchards and planting vegetables.
I hope your growing season hasn't been as chaotic as other areas, especially across the border.
Using the greenhouses may just keep the farm in better financial shape.
I'm just happy to see you still going strong.
Maybe start looking at alternatives for the flowers, shorter growing time, earlier planting. Things are never going to be the same. This is the last year we'll see relatively "normal" temperatures.
Hang in there.🇨🇦🌞🌝
What an awesome idea to use crates. I hate to dig up gladiolus and the end of the season. What type of crates do you use? Thanks for a great video.
I am m wondering about the crates too!❤
They posted in an older video that they use the crates that some of their bulbs come in. I think it was tulips.
@@heatherj3030 thanks!
No market videos this year?
What I love about glads is that when u plant one there will be 2 sometimes 3 in its place when u dig it up so by digging them up you double your corms saving even more money, I'm buying 1800 of them this year and going to keep multiplying them each year even planting the cormals to grow bigger and sell the corms each year locally 😊
Where do you get the crates from?
@236 wow am here tryhing to make do with clearance at 45$ and barely getting any
😀
Did their market videos and bouquet making go behind a pay wall/the members-only section?
No. There has been no members content in months.
They aren’t married anymore
@@GardeningAddictionwhat, really?
@@kellykilfeather :( members livestream they announced they are separated
@@kellykilfeatherDid Ian move?
Comma comma comma comentelion... You come write, you come and wriiiite!
👏👏👏👏❤❤🕊️
You need to feed your bulbs
I didn’t notice the dang thrips eating up my glads until it was too late.
Why dig them up? why not just stack the crates in the out building? not a lot of labor and maybe could get some early starts? just wondering.
i think that is what they do
@@214380adm was replying to a comment she made about tossing the Glads rather than digging them up for storage, because its too time consuming, thought it was odd. i've followed Serina for years, which is why it struck me as odd.
Please upload market videos
Where is the video of what you made last year with CZcams and the farm?
Ian speaks at 6:06 and 12:09
I mostly cared about the farmstand sales, are you not doing that now? Ian still films films for you just doesn’t film on his own or edit videos? What’s going on? Will we ever get our content back?
All the videos now are just unedited live streams without the chat…
I love your videos and you guys are such hard workers. I do have a question about Canadian women. Is it the norm for women not to shave their armpits?
It’s what naturally grows. Do guys shave? Why not?
Yes. Most women in Canada don't shave
@@EeeEee-bm5gx thank you for your reply
@@EeeEee-bm5gxthat’s definitely now true. How about women can do whatever they want?
Good for Serina if she wants to keep her body natural and hairy. A confident, natural woman is very attractive to many people and what she chooses to do is her business.
This Jew is 38 years old and is NOW having children...
