Watching old movies is like time travel, I'm enjoying their dresses, the furniture bed and chairs, the electric household and many more.
My father the elder son of my grandparents born in 1925 and her sister was born in 1935 so the actors in this movie are my grandparents age group.
Morton Selton 1860-1939 was the oldest actor is my great grandpa age group realy it is fantastic to see people of our grandparents and great grandparents ages are walking and talking.
It is Cathy and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. I love their chemistry on screen. ❤❤❤❤
Yes! “ALMOST” as good as he and Vivian were! (What a pity for those two.....if the meds we have today that fight her Manic Depression, who knows what would have happened? They never stopped loving each other, from what I’ve read.)👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌹🕊✝️💜🙋♀️
Kate Bush talks about Cathy in her song Wuthering Heights.
What a brilliant actor Olivier was .
Merle Oberon was lovely and had a unique beauty.
Delightful! I love old films like this. Larry was in top form, and Merle Oberon was so effervescent. Wonderful supporting cast, too. The gowns from every period were exquisite.
Larry's voice is always pleasure to hear!
Merle Oberon and Lorenze Olivier grate actores that illuminate the screen together.
Игра Лоуренса Оливье потрясает.. Гениальный актер, красавец мужчина! Получила огромное наслаждение от фильма и прекрасных акттеров! ❤🎉
Charming movie! If only they would make them like this again! I’d actually go to the theatres!
Right?
loved it!

Im from Argentina. Really love seen Olivier making comedy. Thats kind of films are gems that here never showed. Like the vertion of Pride and Prejudice from 1940. Love him.
Perfectly delightful movie. Lighthearted. Fun.
Sir Laurence Olivier - a fine actor of the Twentieth Century. Thank for uploading this rare film to demonstrate what real entertainment was, Cult Cinema Classics.

It's amazing to have the pleasure of watching twu great masters such as Laurence Olivier enad Ralph Richardson, nice movie, great performances. Thank you.
love Sir Ralph Richardson in everything he played
I adore this movie! Haven't seen it in decades!
Oh! My....can you name 2 more beautiful people? Merle Oberon was stunning!
Olivier, Tyrone Power, Lamar, and Sophia Loren were the most attractive actors during those early years in Hollywood.
This has become quite the comfort film for me. So lighthearted and funny. She is beautiful and he is handsome, perfect chemistry. May come off as sexist, but in the end it was the man who was the fool all along, so is it really?
Very very enjoyable 😄😄 Loved the sullenness and pride of the hero 👏🏻

Hello Paulo hope you and love ones are all doing well, but I hate to tell that Laurence and Oberon didn't like working together at all but the studios made them work together cause they were big stars and their movies made lots of money at the time take care friend 👍.
@@freddiemiranda5366 _Hi, my dearest Freddie! Thanks a lot for your kindness with this good advice and information...But there's no problem since They have made very well their homework...Things like this happens Always on screen....many actors don't like each other and só the poor director must have done miracles tô get a great job of them...I hope in this one there's no trouble on scene at all...God bless you always, pardner!_
It was a lovely movie. I really enjoyed watching it. Laurence Olivier is a very charming and a great actor. I love his movies. Thank you for this wonderful movie.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Excellent as L.O displays his amazing range from comedy to his future Shakespeare. But who made a better acting partner for him: Vivian or Merle ?
Great movie and great actors

Another in the long line of great films to come from Alexander Korda's London Film company in the 1930's and 40's, released in the US by United Artists. Merle Oberon and Lord Olivier make nice so well.
Thank you!!!!
České titulky, udělal jste mi s nimi velikou radost! Děkuji!!!
: L. Olivier looks like both Christopher Reeves and Richard Thomas all in one deeply romantic, hilarious acting male main character part of this film 😅!

He was very good-looking. I liked him too and since I am Black he and I probably never would have even met let alone gotten married. Plus I was born until after WWII. LOL

Great actor
With Merle Oberon, Laurence Olivier, Ralph Richardson and binnie Barnes-he stole her heart-so she stole his pajamas! Divorce lawyer everard Logan thinks the woman who spent the night in his hotel room is the erring wife of his new client!! (Hahaha) a very fine screwball comedy-Laurence Olivier and Meroe Oberon wee were pretty good and funny in these madcap twists and turns-even Ralph Richardson and binnie Barnes as lord mere and his wife were in on the fun-the ending was anticlimactic! I love ❤️ this flick! 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
I loved this!!

Young Laurence Olivier was an absolute snack. If he was around today, he'd be going viral for breathing.
The wit :) Do we have anything like it today...!❤

Thanks!🇺🇸👍❤️

Not a bad job for the colorization done on this ancient film. It's nice to see the slim and handsome Lawrence Olivier emoting opposite Merle Oberon, the Anglo-Indian born in Calcutta who first made her mark in British films before graduating to Hollywood and appearing in such films as Desiree. I like how the algorithm was used in AI to give her lips a nice crimson red. This method should be adopted for all 40's, 50's and 60;s films.
It was actually filmed in technicolor, not AI. But I agree that movies enhanced by AI color should continue to be used on these films from those eras. Very enjoyable to watch in color.
@@voceval1 Better to watch in original color than that sorry crap AI makes.
It was very silly but I had a good laugh.
Szerintem ennek az az eredetu magyar címe, hogy „Lady X válása”
11:42 ❤️❤️, Innocent romantic tension 😅😅, an A+ ❤.
Lol charming 😂
The deception was so funny..someone with the intellect of a barrister could be fooled so easily..but the joke was like a runaway train..the whole thing had become very believable..
As the author of the First Dictionary of Emotions, and in 2023, I can say that the Barrister was spot on with his articulation of womanhood in his Courtroom.
Tim, when do you plan to go into hiding!😅

(As witnessed by me and men for the past 50 years now.)
* (Although the women were liberated 100 years ago, instead of Educating themselves, they chose to Emasculate every single Male.)
* * * Think about the young boys who have been hearing this for 50+ years. (Their childlike innocence is/was robbed from their own free and liberated childhood.)

Keeping me company during a rotten cold cough. Love it...wasn't aware of this at all. Beautiful colour film....that must have cost a bomb? The sound though...is it just me (and this horrible cold)? I keep hearing running water in the background hiss and not just the bathrum (sic) scene. Do we think that necklace be the real thing with that black dress? Emerald or peridot?

I know it’s a movie, but I can’t believe her entitlement in taking his room! And how kind he was to let her do it! I hope women weren’t really like that!😢❤ He was so handsome!
Most women back then needed a husband to maintain a roof over their heads and you're asking if whether or not women were entitled back then because of a scene in a film? 🙄🙄
He should have jumped into bed with her, just to get her out.

@@lifeindetale you must remember that it's a character written by a man who has this view of Womanhood, start at 42:58 2 solid minutes of classic misogyny, in which ironically he tends to be describing the male of the species, interspersed a Cosmo magazine view of what it means to be a woman

A lesson learned. Offer a woman your little finger and she will take the complete hand! .)
Not all women! It is a fact that I gave my late husband complete devotion for 38 years.
I do believe Lord Mere is Dr Watson of Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes
It's not a bad movie
