I get it! The flow of water through the pipe from the power head creates a Venturi effect that causes enough of a vacuum to suck air in through the aquarium tubing! Very clever!

La instalación de tubería de pvc hace lo mismo que la manguerita transparente, la piedra aireadora y la bomba, mediante la instalación de ese sistema tipo Venturi que surge al instalar la manguerita transparente en la salida del agua de la bomba de agua y esto lleva aire que escapa por los huecos del tubo PVC; solo hay un pequeño problema y es la utilización de perlón en la botella, ¡es muy bueno! pero hay que limpiarla cada cierto tiempo ya que el perlón al saturarse de sucio hará todo lo contrario al beneficio que él hace y es, elevar los niveles de Nitritos en el acuario.
Why go through all of this when you can just use the air pump? You're still using an electrical device to power it, so nothing is gained or saved. Plus you have that rather unattractive thing visible in the tank.
@@cynthiamolenaar770 Don't need two actions when the pump is providing bubbles. Even with this device, I would still need additional filters, so for me, this is not an option. But for some it may be enough. Clever idea though! :)
I am looking fir a silent alternative not trying to complicate life just trying to find a fking solution for the noice anxiety i live fish tanks makes me calm but the sound take the fun of it 😢

If your air hose is dirty, you can soak it in a tub of hydrogen peroxide to clean it. This filter and air bubbler is such a good idea!

A powere head is still a air pump as it creates air in the water so the title is incorrext other than that great build looks cool

Requires regular cleaning of wool, and if not done regularly it would choke whole set-up, as it's submerged, so not easy daily clean-up.
