  • in this video I demonstrate how I apply bona Nordic seal to raw sanded down floors, this is my technique and works fine for me. just be careful with how long you hold the puddle of product on the unsealed floor because it could leave a mark and that is difficult to get out. also, do not forget to rinse and clean off your roller and brush after the job so they do not dry completely, because this stuff dries really quick.

    Hey how come people dont use a roller tray or bucket and just pour on the floor when doing this?

      There's a filter on the gallon, and if for some reason it wasn't shaken we'll it'll keep the clumps from pouring out onto the floor

    Maybe not finishing with the vent in the floor? Now it’s stuck in and gonna be a bear to remove.

    How do you suggest sealing a larger room where you cant really do wall to wall? I have a familyroom and kitchen combined. Direction of Boards is from familyroom to kitchen.

    Hello! Sorry if it’s a repeat question, I looked through them all and still wasn’t sure. How many coats of the Nordic seal did you use? Just one? Then waited two hours and applied the Traffic Hd? Then did you buff after the first coat of traffic HD or did you apply another coat and then buff?

      Starting with the Nordic seal.
      -I used 1 coat but you can use 2, I did a sample and client didn't like how white it was so they went with one.
      And with the bona, I did 2 coats. Buff in-between

      What grit did you buff with in between? Did you buff by hand?

      @@mateyapeters7645 220 grit one the first coat of clear is on. Then I used a maroon pad on the final since the floor is ready so smooth

      I'm sure you can but you need someone skilled. I had someone destroy my patterned wood with just regular old stain and bad sanding technique. Water based and parquet is for professionals.

    Do you sand after the nordic/ before the hd? Are you hot coating it?

    • @flooringvideos5382
      @flooringvideos5382  Před rokem +1

      After Nordic seal I recommend applying your next coat after a couple hours so you don't have to buff, if you wait over 24hrs then it's recommended to buff

      When applying Nordic seal, no you don't need to buff. But when doing my 3 coats of clear, I buffed between 2-3 coat
