    That brings back some memories of being camped on that beach in my teens (mid 80's). We would leger and feeder fish at night,then come morning get the waders on,get out there and either cast up to the weir and trot back to ourselves or go right across and trot down the wall. Nice one

    Good to see ya back on the trent kev, any vids from beeston/clifton weir or steps again love them reminds me of getting the 85 bus at 5.30 am with all the gear pissing of the pensioners on the way back lol

    Great to see you back. Brings back memories I used to fish Beeston Weir back in the 70's, no Barbel then but plenty of Chub. Now in NZ

    I got a nice stretch of the trent that belongs to the uni, that I can fish. Now that I work for them . Nice to see you back on it.

    Nice to see you back Kev. Cracking looking weir pool and easy access by the look of the cars in the background. I wish we had access like that on the Thames instead of the long trek’s with our barrows.

      @@leescoey,,,, Trent Embankment is free and full of fish. Stoke Bardoplh road stretch is run by Ashfield Angling with £6 day ticket 🎫 n the bank. A1 pits Trent day ticket section near Newark is good for Barbel.
