However, the crew they are up against gets the better of them and they are forced to bank on sheer luck. Will RARE come through with the assist to help pull off the Athena heist? Come find out!

Nah man this has gotta be my crew. a few nights ago, in the span of an hour
- Two players' wifi go out (turning us into a 2 man galleon)
- Megalodon, storm, and player ships swarm us when we get Athena 5 flag
- Sink, try to go back to the loot, and server change
- New server has FotD, and we swim over and sink occupying galleon
- Kraken hits us right as we leave to collect loot
- Sink, and as we're about to head back, server changes again
All this in roughly an hour, I just went to bed.
Pulled off my first Athena heist the other day, everything went off without a hitch! Thanks Mason for being a good teacher!

@@thalmoragent9344 it was insane. Was my first time doing fotd. And I was with 2 of my Xbox friends and 2 other Xbox people I met in game. And it was his galleon crew. So it was even harder. And I wasn't with my main pc crew. I was with the lower skilled xbox crew. So we didn't stand a chance

Once I finished a solo fort and a megladon chased me as I went to the outpost. At first it was fine but then it kept chasing me in super shallow water, floating above the sea. I sold most of my loot but it destroyed my ship while I was at the island. I was... rared

That is the meanest thing you could do. I was once on a brig and we got attacked by a kraken and an Athena sloop. To make things worse we had no planks left. Two of us constantly bailed while the third guy got us out of there. We managed to escape the kraken and sloop and one guy went onto the island to get planks.
Later we sank that goddamn sloop because what they did was cowardly.

I made a couple of new friends yesterday. They were fairly new. I would guess about 10 hours in. They kept wondering why I check the boat constantly, why I stop fighting at a stronghold to check the boat and the waters.... Mason that why... by the way I did find someone. I knew I saw somebody in the water while we passed a small island. My friends said "no way we are too far out." I jumped in the water and sniped him as he was grabbing the ladder.

Void I don’t think tucking a FoTD is pve when you don’t fight any of the skeletons, anyway it’s fine we got the FoTD (and phuzzybond makes amazing guides I’ve already watched them all)

the kraken skele galleon happened to me and a buddy IN A SLOOP. Bailing water was all I did for like 10 mins straight.
Damn bro. I really felt for the guys who got megakrakenskeladon. It happened to me when me and my mates finished shores of gold and came out of the red sea. It was hectic

Dang that sucks the same thing happened to me. Last night me and my friend finished the skull fort and got all the loot and he went afk but as soon as i left from the island there was a kraken and a skelly ship after me and then a meg while the kraken and the skelly ship was still after me but i managed to get away and as soon as i got away he was back.

also mason i once did fortnight level 5 emissary on gold rush time and got 50 k for each stronghold keg plus 2 others due to the skele strong hold keg spawns

That brig at the end of the video was prolly me and my usual crew because at the end of every sea of theves session we light it up after selling all our loot.

Yesterday I was a galleon chased by a hacker sloop. We had to request the help of a brig, but we were also being double ghost ship megged. We got em tho.

I just got off playing SoT w/ 2 of my friends after sinking 2 galleons (one was stacking forts) both Reaper Emissary 5. We had a 350k payoff (our biggest yet). Sweet sweet loot! Now, I shall treat me some Mason time nohomo

I dont know man, I'm feeling pretty unlucky. Let me tell you what made me stop playing because it was such unlucky BS. Friend and I had just completed level 5 gold hoarders quest and had all the loot that lead to us getting level 5 as well. Another sloop started fighting us. Fine, no problem. When we both launch to their ship to spawn kill. we look back and see that a skeleton ship has spawned and is laying hell on our ship. We both merm back.... right on time to get krakened. Fine... This is iffy but the sloop is busy with repairs/ backspawns so we got time. Then guess what, something epic happened. 4 player gall pulls up to the edge of ink and continuously launches players 4 at a time at our ship. We're now defending against a kraken, a ghost ship, a sloop, a galleon, and 6 players. Needless to say we didn't get any gold that day.
Sometimes it be like that. But it makes a damn good story!
Me and my budy once had to deal with two guys attacking us after a fort of the damn, we couldn't get much loot because of them and a storm started hitting us. So we tried to escape, on our way to an outpost we felt on a sloop and a meg while being chased by the same two guys from the fort... we didn't make it

This is one of the few SoT streamers I’ve seen that isn’t a complete toxic douche/rubs victory or skill in opposer’s faces, just great strategy and planning. 👍 However, I almost always solo sloop cuz no friends, so these guys would be my worst nightmare. 😂
first time i ever opened the game, on my maiden voyage, i spawned in to my ship being blown up, pretty unlucky.
I think im the most unlucky here I encountered a kraken right after the maiden voyage tutorial. Literally right outside the outpost.
6 hours ago me and two friends on a brig stacked 6 fotd and not one person came near us.
That was my crew we burned our ship cuz we were getting off
When they got rated I was just waiting for their kegs to go off

I I just spent the last 2 and a half hour with my friends playing sea of theives and we found 2 ashen keys and were digging up an ashen chest but we were attacked by a really sweaty galleon who sunk us and we lost 2 ashen keys an ashen chest and about 7 villainous bounty skulls thanks to a server merge.

I got chased by a gallon for an hour that then a skeleton fleet spawn on them when we think its over we get meged and skeleton sloop at the same time. We finnish that and then a kraken spawned on us. Not our best day to say the least.
